Treat those "visions" like you would treat floaters. Ignore them and you will be fine. Dwell on them and you will be posting on /x/ about being gangstalked in 3 months.

Stop taking drugs immediately, step away from politics entirely (all political parties use brainwashing techniques to confuse your world view)

    P. S. If the shadow is always in the same place in 1 eye, it actually could be signs of a detached retina

Get some alcohol. Alcohol is a central nervous system depressant and will work the same as hard psych meds.

Schizophrenia is when your senses start picking up on stuff from behind the veil.

Your options are either to suppress these experiences with antipsychotics at the expense of killing your brain cells for the rest of your life or get into in occultism/spirituality to fully understand and integrate what you're experiencing.

Drop by /x/ OP if you decide to pursue the second path.

Schizophrenia is a very well understood neurological condition which sufferers can lead a relatively normal life with.
Unfortunately some of the symptoms of schizophrenia include delusions of grandeur and paranoia, which results in people like this.
It's manageable if caught early. Or go down the rabbit hole with a bunch of ill adjusted losers with no social skills and throw your life away instead. Whatever

Another thing I want to clarify is that the shadow people you're seeing are not real in any sense of the term, natural or supernatural. So the good news is as you gain control over your thoughts these symptoms will start going away.
Know that it's your subconscious making shit up and take solace in that and the fact that in the end you're the one, the only one who's in control. You just need to learn to exert that control.

What the frick are you talking about? Modern science only understands the "WHAT" part of the equation, purely on the physical level. They have no clue of the "WHY".
Forget that, they don't even know how the meds even work, the SSRIs, the anti psychotics, they're just going off of statistical results there. Entertain the thought that there might be some deeper to it.
The paranoia and delusions are a result of the victim not knowing what the frick he is experiencing and so he assigns his own misguided meanings to them.

Schizophrenia often causes people to believe their hallucinations are somehow "special", and that they are "chosen ones" who can see things others can't, this is often called "main character syndrome", where the sufferers believe they are somehow heroes fighting against a grand world wide deception, and are gifted special mental powers they can use to save mankind, etc, this often leads to them killing their parents or other strangers, who are somehow "in on the conspiracy",
Do not listen to people like this, they are very mentally ill

there's something off about these guys. i know what they are saying should theoretically make sense but it just doesn't sit right. like they are trying to hide something.
OP the most important thing is that you only trust yourself, not ''doctors'' or strangers on the internet.

            >sufferers believe they are somehow heroes fighting against a grand world wide deception
            >this often leads to them killing their parents or other strangers, who are somehow "in on the conspiracy"
Compare these symptoms to the following quote -
            >there's something off about these guys. i know what they are saying should theoretically make sense but it just doesn't sit right. like they are trying to hide something.
            Anything sound familiar?
This is the slippery slope, schizophrenics are so convinced of their own delusions that anyone who tries to help them are automatically "part of the conspiracy" or "trying to stop them saving the world from the shadows/demons/aliens/machines", or whatever their delusions are,
Another common thing is the person believing they are the reincarnation of Jesus, or some other holy Messiah figure, they are always somehow "special" or "the chosen one"
