these are the same morons who cried when they put the belt on becky, even though it was obviously done out of necessity and as a transition. they can't think beyond what they see immediately in front of them.

How exactly? He literally cried when he got the "rub" during that promo and propped AK up, never doubting him. How exactly is that a heel behaviour you mouth breathing troglodyte?

WWE is a heel territory. It's notoriously difficult to maintain a face championship without having a giga star like Hogan to feed monsters to.
On top of that, factor in The Rock's ongoing reputation repair campaign and the fact that he was booked to beat Cody on night 1. His end goal is to get the fans back on his side, and a heel Cody would get him that support.
Maybe I'm old but this all just seems really obvious to me. It's all been done before and it's been done in the WWF/E.

Remember when you booed Cody out of your company for not following your autistic fantasy booking the last time you predicted a heel turn?

I don't watch troony feds, fren. I've just seen this all so many times before it's become predictable. I'm not even hating. Turning Cody heel is a good idea.

I've always said it since The Rock came back, Cody wasn't facing Roman. They tried their best to play it like it was a "story" but it's super obvious they course corrected quick and early. It's probably why the feud felt more like Cody vs. The Rock considering they just went with ideas they originally had for the build.

They did the exact same thing with Mark Henry and Cena years ago. Only Mark's worked retirement was believable.

It's one of the most memorable segments in history. This arbitrary 7 year rule doesn't apply here. Why not just rehash all the greatest attitude era segments too while we're at it? It's definitely not the same shit with a different coat of paint being rushed out for a flipping title reign! Not at all!

Smackdown has no other heels. The draft gave Cody nothing. They could/should have had Orton win KotR but didn't for some reason. So this is a way to do more matches between Cody and AJ, because there's nothing else. Expect a long series a la Orton and Christian, and AJ should win the title with Cody chasing in order to keep things fresh. Not every champion needs to hold the title for a year.

It's still so dumb to me that Cody isn't feuding with CM Punk. The fact that they're having him feud for some made up RAW title is baffling to me. This guy has maybe 5-10 matches before his glass body explodes like in Mortal Kombat, you're coming off hot post Roman/Rock stuff, strike while the iron is still hot and while you still can at this point.

THANK YOU HOLY SHIT. I'm getting really sick of these long reigns where you basically know that every major title can only be dropped at one of the "big" PPV or Wrestlemania. It's so fricking boring at this point and devalues every long title reign before that if everyone gets to have one. I absolutely do NOT want to see Cody retain until next Wrestlemania or even longer. If he absolutely has to, he NEEDS to turn heel

It's so easy for WWE to do filler and drones to lap it up. He'll be done with AJ in 2 weeks, then it's either Bloodline shit or Orton turns heel which will probably go on for months and take us to War Games and then it'll be another filler feud as we enter Wrestlemania season. Boom, year long title reign. No one bats and eyelid, drones are happy Cody was 'booked strong and we got some bangers' zzzzzz

Roman was got really good as Tribal Chief mainly for one thing.
Every match sold you because there was large degrees of promo work done before someone would face him. These "work horse" champions who wrestle most of the time while just cutting promos rather than to further angles, it just makes feuds feel pointless. I'm not saying "wrestle once a month", but have it mean more when the guy does it.

There were only three times when anybody thought Roman would lose, Drew, Sami, and Cody.

If you thought Jey was going to beat him in any of their matches, then you're a dumbass. No amount of promos changed that Roman won all of his matches the same exact way after a point. If he had lost the title at least once and then got it back, that would have been different, but after he beat Brock at WM38, it was the same shit until Sami joined.

People completely forget just how cold the story was until Sami and Drew heated it up again. 2021 post-Mania is one of the most boring periods for the Bloodline ever. And that's not even getting started on the post-Summerslam 2023 after jimmy turned heel.

The Bloodline story is legitimately great, but let's not pretend like it never got completely stale and cold at times. Had Roman beat Cody at WM40, we'd still be having these same Bloodline promos, but without the champion actually being there. I'll take Cody spinning his wheels a bit but actually being present onscreen over that shit because at least the other wrestlers can compete for the title when Roman fricks off.
