No one actually thinks that Cucknette is a good booker. His criticism of AEW is still mostly correct, however.

This isn't him booking a one off supercard I really don't understand why iwc trannies think this is some big gotcha

His year long build up is completely moronic

      Anonymous

Because it is moronic no matter what it is. He's putting a (retired) Mick Foley on team WCW and having him wrestle Austin at wrestlemania lol. Nobody on earth considered Foley a WCW guy after 97. Don't even need to go in to the rest of the card. Full of bizarre shit like Undertaker vs Terry Funk (the WCW hardcore title jobber) and no Goldberg

Cornettes fantasy Invasion booking is literally the ONLY fan booking of that angle that I've seen which is worse than how they actually booked it.

      Anonymous

nah it was fine. most people haven't watched this. he starts from his own points and goes through a year wirth of booking. theres literally nothing wrong with it. smarks are the biggest adhd rock-brain morons on the planet. never right about anything ever. plus Xer in the OP looks like an untrustworthy homosexual. why would I care what he thinks?

What was Jim’s reason behind Taker-Funk and Rock-Sting? I feel like the two way more obvious matches to make in a perfect world would’ve been Rock-DDP (the two “people’s champs”) and Taker-Sting?

He was doing a hypothetical retirement match (even joking one of many) for terry and undertaker also being from texas would have been honored to work with him
      >Taker-Sting
two babyfaces that would only be interesting in theory but actually seeing it happen wouldn't work out well in the long run.

        Anonymous

        >and undertaker also being from texas would have been honored to work with him
So he's putting what the talent would like over what would be a draw? Thought that was a bad thing?

Also, why's he booked himself into the main event alongside Dusty? As if Dusty needed a mouthpiece

          Anonymous

Its his personal fantasy booking mixed with what might make sense given the invasion was happening around the same time.
Jimmy hart with hogan being his opponent with dusty was just him reliving his 80's dream match.

He shoot had no idea what was going on in WCW so he just went with the guys he knew from NWA/WCW/SMW to fill the WCW side

Storm, Jericho and like Kane were the only SMW guys on the card lol. You're such a pretend to know gay b***h. Read a book.

The point was to have meaningful matches but not give away the biggest matchups all in one night. I know autists can’t understand this.

As I understand it his card is a weird mix of fantasy/dream booking as well as trying to be realistic. I think a lot of it was done on the day they filmed too. He doesn't put all the big matches on the same show so they could keep making money down the line.

if he would've set up the ultimate supercard you troons would've been calling him predictable and boring.

Was Cucknette also talking about angles? It was a fantasy card, and it would've drawn buys from a lot of the Crockett fans at that time who'd simply STOPPED WATCHING WRESTLING FOREVER.

I believe he had a bunch of angles around a lot of the matches and where things would go after WM.

The only people who care about what Jim Cornette thinks are AEW trannies and everyone knows how moronic they are.

Let me educate you gays on this one more time. First off Jim Cornette booking ROH was the only time it was ever profitable. Without him saving money on not flying in the super smash brothers and the young bucks they were able to sell to Sinclair and continue to provide work and exposure for indie talent. I'm sorry you're butt hurt over the 4 matches the headbangers had.
Next, this card was not for the smarks, and it was not for the increasingly embarassed monday night wars fans who weren't going to stick around no matter what. It was for the the lapsed fans of the territories. The hardcore fans who saw live wrestling once a week instead of once a year. It would have been the last hail mary to save the wrestling industry.

    >Austin vs Foley
Happened a dozen of times in 97&98, didn't need to happen again. Foley also had his main event Mania match the previous year and was also involved in the main event of WM 15. This would've been a bad choice.
    >Undertaker vs Funk
This could be good, but it's not a WrestleMania quality match.
    >The Rock vs Sting
This is the only decent thing on the card, but people would prefer to see Sting vs Taker.
    >Hogan/J.H. vs Dusty/J.C.
Awful. Easily the worst thing on this entire card.
    >Vince vs Flair/Bischoff
    Happened somewhat.
    >Dudleys vs Warriors
Good if the Dudleys go over.
    >Angle vs Benoit
They had worked together at the two previous manias already.
    >Triple H vs Booker T
It happened, and it sucked sadly.
    >Edge/Christian vs Nova/Lynn
    ????
    >Show/Kane vs Steiners
Could've been good, but it's not a WrestleMania match.
    >Jericho vs Storm
MUH SMW reference that only a few people will get. Awful
    >Hardys vs Dustin/Jarrett
Like the Edge & Christian vs Nova/Lynn match... ????

Booking the 40-something Steiners against the biggest guys on the roster is one of the most egregiously moronic moves, put them against someone who can ragdoll for them like the Hardyz

You don't, Cornette's local Midwest booking philosophy is garbage and dated which is why he failed everywhere except a local Midwest indy after the mid-90s.
He pitches his booking ideas on his podcast sometimes and they're terrible. He would be as bad as Tony Khan if he was booking today, but at the other extreme of bad booking.
