    >"It's just one week!"
    >Please don't panic!
    >It was a WWE crowd!
    >Ospreay didn't work his high flying match!

Hilarious how biased they are and they can't defend this ratings this week

These dudes barely get 10k views in 10 hours and this is who Tony is booking his show for?

Its even worse. Bryan got so mad at people making fun of him because Punk called him a liar he removed the live observer radio show from YouTube and streamed exclusively on Twitch and only subscribers could talk. This lasted about 2 months before he realized no one is listening and had to come back to YouTube streams

YouTube is a free stream and a free chat so anyone can join. Twitch he only allowed subscribers who pay every month to chat which is heavily monitored and if you say one negative thing about AEW or Alvarez himself you're banned

Are they really putting Shibata in the ring regularly and allowing people to throw strikes at his head?

I'd understand the concern for Edge, for Bryan, Saraya, Christian. Shibata's moronic ass though did it to himself because he's such a self mark. So save your concern trolling

    >don't panic about aew's ratings as we sell you headlines every week telling you to panic about aew's ratings
it's wild to me how people are still so blind to what these sites do and how they push and control narratives no differently than the evening news. although maybe i shouldn't be surprised wrestling fans are marks
and no this isn't a console war attempt. before aew and their ratings became the mass hysteria topic it was vince who was the boogieman and whether he was backstage at raw that week or if he rewrote the show 5 minutes before they went to air. that shit went on for years
the quicker wrestling can collectively shake these vultures the better off it and the overall discourse surrounding wrestling would be. of course that's never going to happen though

Maybe it was a bad idea to open the show with a guy who's locked behind a paywall for a containment thread and who's only two televised wins in the company are against Lee Moriarity and Kevin Matthews.

Yeah, Dave said those were dire and NXT is in genuine danger of being canceled, especially if WWE keeps pushing Japanese like Tozawa and Iyo.

During yesterday's WOR Dave said that ratings and demos don't matter since 90% of wrestling viewers watch matches via streaming services. It's a non issue trannE

It used to be "the ratings are fine" to "Can we not panic about the ratings?" to eventually "let's not panic about the ratings (yet)". Slowly but aurely Vryan is seeing the rarings aren't good.

Ratings don't matter. TV execs don't follow that mark shit. What matters is the Ranking and AEW is WHITE HOT

I was listening to a WOR from last June earlier today while I was mowing my lawn and Dave was coping about the ratings, saying that just because Dynamite didn't get a milly that week didn't mean the sky was falling because they had really stiff competition and he was sure it would be over a milly next week. He also said that the WWE's (then) current popularity was a fad that would burn out by summer and they would be back to having 3/4 empty arenas.

June 5th, 2023 show if you are curious.

Meltzer is notorious for saying stupid shit then denying he ever said them and if you show him evidence he'll block you or claim it was taken out of context.

My favorite was when he recently didn't realize a clip of HHH/Rock was from 10 years ago and said "Oh I'm sorry" but instantly brought up the Ashley rape story to cover himself

I have shoot mental problems and one of the ways I deal with them is by constantly keeping my mind busy so I don't stop to think. That is kinda hard to do while I am doing work since farm work is pretty repetitive. So if I listen to stuff where I have to pay attention and it keeps me engaged it keeps the voices in my head from getting my attention. Meltzer is easy to listen to, and the absolute bullshit he says constantly has me checking my memory to make sure he isn't gaslighting me.

It is what it is. $12.99 a month for mental health is a lot cheaper than what some doc would cost and he wouldn't turn me into a drugged up zombie.
