F1 isn't a serious sport, it's main objective is to act as a funding scheme to create technology that ends up in other real-world application (like KERS).

      that's based though

Yeah it's a good thing, but it means you can't hold F1 to the same standard as you would with other sports, and there's not really any point in calling it boring because it's not supposed to be exciting.

I'm sure it's fantastic for everyone involved, the drivers all seem to love it. It's just crap to watch, the cars are too big for the track now.

            >RB is choking
Just one more race to make it official, please god

The fact that no one can explain why RB cars lost their advantage (besides 'Newey leaving') says a lot

            >2 corners of racing
            >caution, ads for 5 laps
            >repeat
it was so bad at some point even the burger commentator was screaming "why the frick is this still a caution they cleared mclaughlin's car 7 laps ago" and you'd think he'd be used to this shit

No one should apologize for new Detroit track 2bf

            >The fact that no one can explain why RB cars lost their advantage (besides 'Newey leaving') says a lot
Newey knew he was retiring and decided to do a little trolling making RB adopt Mercedes no sidepods car concept

Any way someone could to this comparison taking in consideration the width of the track? Heard Monaco is narrow and Indy is wide, so that might said something. Plus car sizes may vary
Where could I get this type of data to compare? The Sportsball logo at the bottom does not take me anywhere.

      Nice to know.

The whole "I watch it for the engineering competition!" thing is a cope. The real reason people tune in is to gawk at the ludicrous displays of wealth by the patrons attending the events. And even the racers too, since most of them are born silver spoon in hand. You watch it to feel like you too own a Ferrari. Not for the speed, not for how it performs, but for the sake of owning a Ferrari.

    >there are less position changes in the shortest and hardest to overtake circuit in F1 than in the longest oval race in indycar
    Astonishing revelation.
