If we’re inxluding PPV’s on Max, back catalog, and all theee shows, I can see 250 mil/per for 4 years.

I feel like it'll be a long deal, like 8-10 years. Won't be as much money as people expect but Tony will accept it because it secures AEW television for a long tine.

That's 225 per year? That's about what I think, although I was thinking 5 years.

If it's over 6, it'll probably have all kinds of wacky outs and options and escalators and conditions and whatnot.

In the current shambolic state of WBD I can't see them getting more than 100M/year

Its a win win because if the deal is good we laugh at e drones and if the deal is bad we laugh at trannies. Actually were going to laugh at both of them anyways. Hahahahahahaha!

Is their current rights deal 50 mil per year op?

We don't actually know. Dynamite and Rampage is 44, the switch to TBS added about 10, we dunno what was added for Collision.

Probably around 70 after you add in Rampage and Collision now. I’m pretty sure they get an ad revenue split too. I’m guessing the next deal gets 12 PPV’s on max and the entire library. Tony gets bent if he gets anything less than 175 mil per year.

Rumor is that Tony gave up equity in the company for the extension, which would make the fake $2 billion evaluation even more laughable if it was confirmed.

If he gave up equity, why would WBD be ok with him losing money?

lol what? Word was getting passed around just last month that WBD was telling Tony to find ways to cut costs.

By who? So he just signed three big free agents and got a new set to cut costs?

WBD could own 25% of AEW but be able to forcibly sell their share to TK for $100M or $50M or the agreed amount. If the value (banker/financier value, not moron Meltzer value) of AEW went past that minimum number, then obviously WBD would hold onto the shares; otherwise, if WBD/AEW don't agree on an extension, odds are they will let (force) Tony Khan to reacquire their share.

          >175 mil per year
This is the number I've been thinking. We laugh, we meme, but in a vacuum, AEW doing 800k weekly with a 0.2X demo is a great number. I think we may see something like 6 years/$1 billion, for the bragging rights.

The new set/stage/ramp is giant, I highly doubt it cut costs. AEW badly needs a secondary/Collision set that can better fit into 6k-8k multipurpose arenas. Having a set that can only fit in NBA/NHL-sized arenas is counterproductive.
