Shad is building a giant swimming pool on top of his soccer stadium and there’s 2 Michelin star rated restaurants In case people want to go for a bite and a swim while they watch a mid card tier premier league team.

One of the Jaguar’s chief financial officers stole millions of dollars to gamble online with a very obvious paper trail and wasn’t caught for years. The guy running the video at the stadium was a convicted pedo and CP afficiando. Shad gave Urban Meyer a 60 million dollar contract despite never coaching a single pro game and fired him before the season was out knowing full well he would owe the remainder and that a coach losing is not a “for cause” termination

Point being, Shad doesn’t even notice the money Tony spends. The money he paid Meyer to not coach is more than the entire roster of AEW makes. AEW will exist as long as Tony enjoys wrestling. In a few years it’s going to get really weird when he’s overpaying absolutely everyone in the industry and Endeavor realizes it is moronic to even try to match salaries with this madman. Right now is the absolute best time to be a pro wrestler.

Urban was 100% fired for cause. Unless he took Shahid to court and clawed that back and I missed it somehow, his ass didn't get another cent of that 60 milly.

The Jacksonville Jaguars reportedly fired former head coach Urban Meyer for cause in an attempt to void the final four years of his contract.

He was being a c**t and then a player got kicked in the shins by him at training so shad yeeted him immediately

Maybe I mistyped the post. Yes, Shad stepped in and fired him “for cause”. But of course he would, no one wants to pay someone the remainder of that massive deal so you try and void it. Pro Football is not wrestling, there’s a lot more at stake than a CM Punk contract. It requires more than the owner saying it, they have to prove it. The press release was basically.
        >The team lost faith in him so how could we continue? This was necessary and for cause
But everyone on sports radio and TV was kek’ing about it, saying every firing in the history of sports could be considered for cause, you have to buy someone out if you want to sack them for losing. It was in litigation for 2 years and then radio silence about it which means NDA and settlement. The lawsuit about the kicker got thrown out of court right at the same time. So if that got tossed I would imagine he got the bag from the Jaguars. That’s an assumption but I would reasonably assume that if the reason it was “for cause” was dismissed outright that means there was found to be no cause and they’re on the hook.

Really the Jags had buyers remorse from almost day one when he hired the strength coach who had been fired from college for using the gamer word and cutting. He also cut Tim Teabow a check to play tight end and didn’t know who Aaron Donald was.

I don’t know if it does or doesn’t make profit kek. I’m not sure it even matters to Tony. They don’t want an endless money pit you’d think, but if his dad is passionate about Soccer and he will sink billies with a B into a team that’s constantly ping ponging back in forth in relegation and getting dropped from the premier league down to tier 2, if he’ll spend billies on one of the worst franchises in the NFL. It stands to reason his son will blow through millions to stage his wrestling show.

It’s gonna be fricking crazy. If Tony really is paying Okada and Ospreay in the 3 million range then of course all the people you mentioned or going to ask for at least 6. They’ve all headlined Wrestlemania. How the israelites at Endeavor handle that I don’t know. They may just decide that the draw is the name RAW itself of Wrestlemania and it doesn’t matter who is on the roster. There may be no one left soon besides NXT guys who signed the mark contract and ancient CTE cases on legends deals. Tony will absolutely back the brinks truck up for the guys you mentioned.

          Anonymous

          >all the people you mentioned or going to ask for at least 6
I don't think Tony would care to pay Becky or Drew the same amount of money he is paying Mercedes or Ospreay. Tony is a huge Japanese wrestling mark. Unless Drew and Becky go wrestle in Japan first, Tony won't be interested in them. They won't be "the right fit for AEW" in Tony's words. Edge is the only exception to this from AEW's recent signings but that's just because Tony was deseperately trying to replace CM Punk with a big name asap and Edge just happened to be available. If Becky and Drew are really thinking that they would get more leverage for their deals with WWE when their contracts expire because AEW would make them a huge offer then they are probably going to be surprised. Tony would probably offer more money to some STARDOM prostitute over Becky Lynch.

As far as I know most of them never wrestled in Japan. He hired guys and then never used them. He’s also a huge ECW and WCW mark not just Japanese shit. It makes sense what you’re saying but I think he’ll approach anyone that has a contract that’s up. just to pay them to deny WWE an asset on a certain level.

This honestly reads like cope. Tony is 100% going to offer Becky and Drew blockbuster deals. The only question is whether WWE will be willing to match. Like he's signed every other shitter WWE has released why wouldn't he be interested in two of their biggest stars?

            >The NFL’s economic model spreads the wealth. Its massive media contracts, along with a large chunk of gate receipts, are divided equally among the 32 teams. The playoffs are no different. The league collects almost all ticket revenue from playoff games and simply provides a stipend for home and away teams that cover costs for travel and stadium operations. Home teams keep their share of concession and parking revenue, which typically ranges from $1 million to $2 million combined, per game, but it is a rounding error for teams who can expect a check next season from the NFL for shared revenue of roughly $400 million. A Super Bowl run boosts merchandise sales for teams, but much of that revenue is shared equally, as well.
            >Meanwhile, playoff expenses can add up. Qualifying for the Super Bowl is rare for most teams, with New England the obvious outlier, so ownership often blows past its allotted travel stipend to bring employees to the Big Game. When you also factor in coach and player playoff incentives—the Bucs owed Tom Brady $2.25 million for his Super Bowl win last year—teams can end up with a financial loss during the playoffs.

idk about online sales, but concessions bought at the venues go to the venue owner, which is usually the team owner itself

It's all under one league. It's all a shared pool of revenue. The only thing that really determines an NFL team's value is location, taxpayer funding, team's overall success. You buy a Lions shirt and the Commanders get a piece of the pie to keep the lights on.

I wouldn't expect the average piggie to grasp this concept as they are financially illiterate and jumping jobs constantly as they couldn't progress further than American 9th grade education.

i dont understand Tony's strategy. Its true that his dad is getting richer and richer, but whats the endgoal for Tony? He obviously wants WWE to be #2 or go out of business, since Tony prefers NJPWs style.
The problem is that even if Tony had Punk, Rock, Cody, etc., he would just missmanage them and diminish their star power. Tony has the reverse Midas touch when it comes to wrestling. He could have all the stars, but sooner or later they would just swim in a sea of 800k ratings yet again.
Meanwhile storytelling is WWE's biggest strength, so even if they only have midcard talent, it would still make for a more entertaining show.

For Tony's strategy to work, he ought to get his shit together in the first place

Tony is dumping his inheritance into AEW so it can become WWE in 10-20 years and he has his own empire. If it doesn't work out he still has Football and his dad/family and other ventures to keep him rich. It's pretty disgusting for someone to have this kind of money with little to no real consequences for success or failure but that's the world we live in. Shad sees AEW as a hobby for his son, a toy more than a business.

Tony could double the amount of money he's invested in AEW right now and Shahid still wouldn't even feel it financially. Like someone else said, he paid Urban Meyer like 40 million dollars to go home.

Although obviously contenders make way MORE money.

You would think that, that he would treat these franchises like his business. It just doesn’t seem that way. It’s more like he’s doing it for spectacle. Not attention seeking, I’m not sure I’m saying it right. Spectacle like the World Cup they just had in Yemen. You know they are losing an infinite amount of dimes, there’s no reason to build an air conditioned city in the middle of the desert and a state of the art stadium for one event. It doesn’t seem like it could ever recoup. But it’s the doing of it. You do it because you can, it’s a display.

Like the grounds in Fulham or the Facilities in Jax. Fulham is an also ran franchise. Jacksonville is the 3rd least popular franchise in the state of Florida. No one wants to be a Jags fan. He tried to buy the Rams and it fell through. I’d imagine he would have moved them back to LA from St. Louis and built sofi stadium on his dime. Instead he gets stuck with Jacksonville but then ends up setting up a fiefdom there. It’s not nearly as prestigious as LA real estate but at this point he’s the mayor. Craven Cottage and the surrounding areas are getting redone, he’s building piers, insane mixed use buildings. Putting giant infinity pools on roofs. Both franchises are dimeless though. They will never be over.
Even if they manage to win, they’ll still never be over. It’s like when you see a very fashionable ugly chick. You can dress her up however but she’s still ugly.

It’s kind of in line with Tony’s wrestling philosophy. He’s never going to have the top promotion, or put WWe out of business, but it’s his and he can irrationally dump money into it forever.

    >You've already blown through most of your inheritance.
LOL you wish. Shahid only had 7 Billion by 2022 and he has 12.2 Billion now in 2024. He only has one son (Tony) and a daughter, and daughters are fricking worthless in his culture so all that money is pretty much Tony's. If Tony wanted to keep his clown show running forever her easily could. He could buy 50 Okada tier contracts and it wouldn't make a dent on his wealth.

Billionaires basically have infinite money moron, paying a couple million for his favorite wrestlers isn't gonna put anything close to a dent in their wealth. The fact is that the sole person responsible for one of the richest families in the world is an autistic mark that can literally play booker however long he wants

This is the most basic cope I've seen out of trannies
      >"Dont make fun of Tony, he's rich!!"
Liberal bootlickers only respect money. Not integrity, courage, or strength - the basic principles this country was founded on. Tony isn't American, he has ties to Paki terrorists and was denied a green card.

There is nothing in that post that defends or credits Tony.

Most people in this thread are just saying that they have so much money they're not going anywhere. This is not a defense of Tony Khan's existence or his shitty booking.

It simple is what it is.

If Shad was in charge of AEW they'd be neck and neck with WWE by now. Shad vs. Vimce would've been a war. Shad vs. HHH, Hunter wouldn't stand a chance.

Instead we got the David Flair of Khans.

So your contention is that Tony's Dad loves him by paying for him to GO AWAY. Home schooled. Private community college. Job as a numbers janitor on an NFL team.

Shad doesn't love Tony. He hates his fricking guts just like all of Fhite does. Who am I? I'm Shad Khan.

Sadly with AEW being valued at twice that of the WWE, Shad is probably waiting for it to become profitable to flip it for even more. Tony is basically keeping AEW safe. Thank you T-Dogg.

Jags ain't doing shit because Trevor Lawrence is overrated and will never be the guy

To be fair, they probably would have won the division of the Khans could have afforded a fricking cart for Lawrence's ankle injury. Imagine how poorly run their medical department must be if they can't swing something as fundamental as an injury cart.

        Anonymous

Not giving him time to rest fricked him. High ankle sprain doesn't get much worse from bringing out a cart.

        >You know nothing about football considering the jags pre khan were a dumpster fire
What the frick are you talking about? The Jags never had a season with fewer than 4 wins before the Khans bought it. The Khans have led the Jags to 4 wins or fewer in 6 out of the 12 seasons under their ownership. You're a fricking moron. The Jags are objectively the worst team in the NFL under Khan ownership.

You say this when the browns, raiders, cowboys, or commanders are a thing. Neither has reached a conference championship game in the last 20 years. Guess what team did, the fricking jags have under Khan with Blake Bortles as their QB. Before that was Chad Henne. Now jury is out with Trevor Lawrence on whether he could led them to the super bowl but the jags have had more recent success a lot of nfl teams.

There's a point where you have so much money where you don't even care about making a profit. At that point it's about changing and influencing society and the world as a whole. Like ESG-funded diversity quota "entertainment". The movies and Netflix specials flop and lose money everytime yet they still get made because the liberal tycoons who fund them hope if they push the shit hard enough and long enough people will eventually accept it. Tony's goal is similar. He can outbid every promotion on talent without making a dent in his allowance. If you don't like his style of booking, too bad. Soon enough your choice will either be AEW or no wrestling at all.
