I almost had a chance very recently. It was at a house show, in March, like two weeks before WM40. It was my first ever time being in any kind of wrestling show, and it was pretty surreal seeing it live when you've only seen it on video.
Tag match with CodySeth against JimmySolo just finished, and Seth stayed and signed here and there for a bit, but Cody took much longer. Shook every possible hand he could. I stayed and watched him do it. And it was just, like I said, surreal. It was a real, living person. Not a character. They were real people. Affecting real people. Eventually, he reached the last bit of people, which was on my side. I approached closer and I was close enough to see better, but not for him to notice me. Close enough to call out. I wanted to, but I felt strangely self concious. So I watched him walk away. But I wish I had at least called out his name, and just told him "good luck".

Brother, you watch a fake sport that focuses on muscled, oiled up men trying to grab all other each other. If you think one of them wasn't gay, you're not ready for the real world.

I met Bayley at a fan meet and greet several years ago and she’s a b***h. I got up there and asked for a hug and she whispered something to a security guard and I was asked to leave.
I get back in line and make it up there again and this time Bayley says hi but within moments a security guard basically drags me out of there like I’m an animal or something and tells me not to come back in. He then stands at the door so I walk over to the pizza place nearby and order some pizza to go. Eventually he goes back inside and my pizza’s ready so I go stand in line again with the pizza, planning to give some to Bayley to apologize. Security then manhandles me and tosses the pizza in the dumpster and walks me back to my mom’s car and tells her to drive me home.

My dad won front row tickets as a kid from a radio competition back in 08 or so when WWE came to Straya for a house show tour. Got a backstage meet and greet as part of the package, and I expected to meet some jobber, but I legit got Triple H while he was the WWE champ. It wasn’t too long of a meeting, less than a minute, but he was very nice, and gave me some merch and a huge fist bump.

Later after the main event he came and did his big reach back pose right around my section and I got to touch the WWE title which was wild for me at the time.

I can never truly hate Hunter because of that. He might be an insecure piece of shit about certain things but he went above and beyond for a random kid like me.

I can't hate on him too hard though, he got me free tickets to multiple NJPW after meeting him one time and was always nice in conversation.

I met John Cena at the airport once while doing security. This was, I think, in 2009 before he was super famous, but I was still a WWE fan at the time keeping in touch from The Attitude Era. Anyways, I was checking his ticket trying to make small talk with John Cena who is dressed in full John Cena gear and I had heard that he had recently got married, so I passively congratulated him and said I was a big fan (I wasn't). He gets all weird and turns his hat visor down trying to hide himself, but no one notices who he is even though he is this massive man shuffling through a metal detector. I look over to my brother who was working with me and I say outloud, "HEY IT'S JOHN CENA" and Cena turns around all pissed, long jean shorts, baseball cap, t-shirt..no one cares. My brother couldn't even see him.

Yeah the cultural impact of wrestling had certainly gone down by that point. Everyone knew Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Macho Man, Jake the Snake, Dusty, Stone Cold, the Rock, etc, my dad who has never watched a full wrestling match in his life and thinks it's moronic knows who those guys are. In the 2000s and 2010s unless you were a wrestling fan or kept up with celebrities, you wouldn't know who Randy Orton, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Triple H, Booker T, etc were. You just wouldn't. They weren't household names. Even John Cena as prime Super Cena was unknown to normal people for the most part.

That's funny though. Your brother bigtimed 09 Cena lol.

Sat at the entrance barrier at a TNA show during the Hogan era. Got a high 5 from Sting. Mickie James threw herself at my barrier and draped her self over me leaning into the crowd. Shoot the most attractive and pleasent smelling woman I’ve seen irl. And I’ve fricked a lot of thotties.
Met most the Impact roster in 2019. LA Knight and LAX seemed reluctant to take images with me as I’m bigger than them at 5’11. Moose was cool and so was Su Yung, who is surprisingly hot irl. Jarrett is based af though I stunk of booze and it was right at the time of his “recovery”.
Went to a fanfest thing in the UK last year didn’t bother to interact with any of them as I’m over paying to talk to midcarders. FTR are tiny manlets, and the bald one is disgustingly fat, the Dudley’s the same, fat short fake tough guys, Ruby SoHo is hot af irl, jungle boy has nice hair and if he was a female I would take such a head of hair to pound town, Big Show is surprisingly not that large, and honestly Nash was the only larger than life wrestler. Booker T and Sharmell seemed cool. Watching a lot of the veterans walking about old and off the juice was depressing they looked like every step hurt.

The Headbangers had an autograph signing at a nearby mall when I was quite young, they were really cool to me and I got a good picture with them. The next night I watched them jump 2 Cool during a dance routine and my little mark self was very conflicted about the guys who were nice to me being baddies.

Captain Lou Albano had a car dealership near my old home and my parents had a decent rapport with him, he gave me a figure of himself and I thought he was really nice.

The biggest names I met are walter, Brian Kendrick, foley, Rhino, Osprey and a few guys that are best known probably from nxt uk. They all seemed nice when I met them, i really dont have anything negative to say. They were even kind to me after the matches, even though I was dreadful. Im ok at reffing, though i pretty much do it for free

Yeah, i worked an opener with him and it was my 6th match. Last match, actually. We talked about nothing prior except that i'd tap. He told me to hit him as we started and i did, thinking he'd no sell and kill me, but he bumped. He got up and asked for another, which he also sold. I did what I was told but I hated it, i knew how dumb it looked, i am a skinnyfat 5'6 guy knocking him down. He put me in his choke and i tapped instantly, like regal would do whenever he lost by submission, and afterwards i was told not to be afraid to sell the sub for 10 seconds or so before tapping. Again, im a 5'6 skinny fricker and none of that is my job, im supposed to get squashed, so i just thought frick it and reffed instead. I have too much respect for pro wrestling to put myself in a position where i am insulting the crowds intelligence like that

I met Brock at a bar in Minneapolis and had a good conversation with him about his last match which was with Benoit. I DJed a wedding that Ken Kennedy attended, so I got to chat with him for a while, too. Di some ring announcing for a local independent fed that saw Jerry Lynn and Scarlett come through. Had good convos with them both, I remember talking about the Walking Dead with Jerry. Eugene (after his WWE run) bought me a drink after an indy show. He was pretty tipsy and showed me photos of his hot wife. Lots of others during autograph signings. All were good experiences. >Saw Virgil at our shitty local mall selling stuff as a teen. I recognized him immediately only due to the fact that as a child and the youngest of our group, I was forced to be Virgil when playing Wrasslin (Im white btw too) and booked to get my ass kick and forced to let my older brother put me in a torture rack and older cousin Razor Edge me and shit. Life sucked. Anyway my father didn't recognize Virgil, he just saw him wearing a NWO shit and knew he was some kind of pro wrestler. And as my father walked up to him he screamed at Virgil "You and me 2 out of 3 falls! Lets Go!" with his beer belly hanging out and doing some improv wrestling stance. Virgil though thought he had customers though and was happy as shit. He showed us pictures to buy but my dad didn't know who he was and just waved him off. Virgil looked at me and I will never forget his bummed out face. And I just thought to myself I used to play as you Virgil as we walked off.

    >At my job I saw Stevie Richards. He was walking down the aisle and at a distance he looked familiar but I couldn't figure out from were. As we walked towards each other I guess I was projecting a face showing I was trying to figure out who he was with mouth slightly open and squinty eyes looking at him. And the way he was looking at me was projecting that he didn't want to be noticed or called out. After thinking for awhile I remembered who he was. I was surprised on how big he was in real life considering he was always one of the smaller jobber guys. He was jacked.

I met Kevin Nash in Detroit one time. Now this was back in 1991 or 93 maybe, I can't quite remember. Anyway, it was late at night and I was walking home from work when who do I see but none other than Kevin R. Nash walking in my direction. Right as we're about to pass eachother he turns left and cuts into a narrow alleyway. I shouted out to him and told him to be careful down there, that it's dangerous at night. He stopped and looked over his shoulder at me and I'll never forget what he said, he said: "pfft what's the worst than can happen? it's not like I'm going to get raped by a pack of Black folk" and then he disappeared into the alley.

I don't know what happened to him after that but he's a big guy so I assume he was alright. Still, I didn't appreciate the attitude.

I was a local ring rat of sorts back in the day and had (still have) a thing for big guys. One night The Undertaker wanted to spend time with me and obviously I agreed and we went to his hotel room. What a weird guy. First of all he was very gentle and treated me like I could break down any second. He wouldnt take his shirt off. He kissed and licked my whole body like it was the first night with the love of his life. I was fine with all of this but when we started fricking he cried and would cry through the whole act. I asked him what's wrong and he just kept crying. Anyway he eventually finishes, I turn on my back and I learn that he's very insecure about his penis. He has a great dick, probably 9 inches and nice girth, but he kept crying and asking me if his dick was enough to please me. I tell him his penis is perfect so he demands to compare it to mine. Mine isnt nearly as big but he kept saying it only looks smaller because I'm the smaller guy. Finally he sucks me off and leaves like nothing happened.

Not a wrestling fan nor check this board at all, but saw this on the main catalog and I figured I add some of my experience. Back story, I’m a former nasty girl zogbot who worked as a massage therapist in the civilian world. Our armory would sometimes rent out their space for ECW and I got to see some crazy shit for fun during certain drill weekends. One day, when one of the Hardy’s was down and out in ECW, I met him through the halls (they were restricted for everyone else but I was allowed to go in since I worked there) and casually he asked me where the bathroom was. I was also heading there and knew who he was from the attitude era so I told him I’d show him, he was super nice and down to earth, then asked me what I did for a living , if I worked there full time or not, i said no just doing my regular drill weekends and that I was a massage therapist during my day job, he then got super excited and started telling me his aches and pains, I knew he was having issues before with drugs and alcohol, turns out it was painkillers, I politely explained to him what I did and all, then he gave me his managers numbers so we could schedule a session before he left the area (he was staying there for a few more days) I agreed and contacted him the manager later on the night. The next day I went to his hotel room with all my gear, met up and worked on him for about two hours. He was fricked up, he didn’t talk the whole time, he took the pressure like a champ and enjoyed the service. I didn’t bother either, it’s impolite in my profession to speak to professional athletes or celebrities about their work if you’re working on them, so I just kept it super professional. He was definitely worn out, stressed and had massive knots and injuries. He thanked me and then asked for recommendations (which I didn’t give him any because there’s not much to do given his job) his manager then paid me my rate and he personally handed me a 300 dollar tip. Solid dude

Professional wrestling is just one of those attractions where the customer is always wrong. A lot of wrestlers have very fragile egos and don’t handle criticism very well. It’s kind of understandable because professional wrestling is a very complicated show with dozens of gears turning at once, and if only one of those gears stops working and the whole show becomes a mess, it’s the wrestler who has to take the blame for it, at least in the eyes of the audience. This combined with the nature of getting bodyslammed for a living is what makes wrestlers impatient with any kind of criticism, and they end up just treating every stranger that greets them like a smark

also i want to add that there were empty chips packets all over the floor of his hotel room and that about halfway through working his calves one of the packets started moving about like there was some kind of creature inside but due to my professional nature and his silence i avoided asking about it

I saw Leila Grey getting ready in her car down the street from an indie show I was going to. She had the whole back seat of her car filled up with plastic tubs filled with clothes and supplies.
She had the whole dash of her car covered in makeup and beauty stuff.
She is very pretty in person.

I also saw Katie Gannon at the same show walking around dressed down as a fan. She comes across as an awkward teenager tagging along with the adults staring wide eyed not knowing where she's supposed to be or do. She kept walking all over the place talking to different people. She's very green.

I saw an indie wrestler make a post on facebook about getting a great deal on a discounted salad at the same grocery store I go to in my small town. It made me kind of depressed to think the person I've been watching on the internet is just another fricking poorgay redneck like myself who thinks paying $1.99 instead of $3.99 is the height of their day.

One time I saw Chuck Taylor at a bingo hall and the fricker stole all the free cookies in a fricking ziploc bag then he ran out and waited for the Septa and we could all see him waiting there and muttering that guy took our cookies. Second grade was never the same after that.

Tatanka came to a comic-con near where I live and my anxiety-ridden ass couldn’t go up to him to shake his hand. I still feel bad about it, especially since I’m currently watching mid-90’s WWF where Tatanka was constantly getting buried by everybody for no reason. I wish I could go back and buy one of the pictures he was selling.

I got to meet Sting with my wife once. It was one of those quick, “alright say hi to them and pose then go, we got a line” kinda deals, but he saw how big I was smiling and he was super chill. He had the bat, and asked if I wanted to hold it so of course I said yes. Then when we took the picture, he had his arm around me and tapped me before we got the picture, so I look over and he’s doing the Wolfpac sign and he goes “hey brother, throw it up. You’re Wolfpac now.” And I bout shit my pants. I had Sting himself induct me into the Wolfpac, so my inner child was fricking marking out. Also he’s massive, which I guess I never expected because when I was a kid he was never talked about as like, one of the BIG GUYS. He was just Sting. But he was amazing.

I also met Lita a few years before that, and we got to talk and hangout for like 15 minutes. She was very sweet and really appreciative of her fans, and I got to tell her that she was always my favorite and as a young dude, probably where my taste in girls came from, and she laughed pretty hard and said “I get that a lot, I wonder if I had anything to do with rocker girls becoming more desirable” lol. Also she’s like, shoot tiny. I’m barely 5’11 but felt massive next to her. She also asked if I wanted to try on her Hall of Fame ring, so I got to put that on. Extremely nice ring and just a surreal experience all together, especially since I’m currently training to wrestle and dream of someday having my own HoF ring, so it can all come full circle. I’ve so far never met a mean wrestler.

My favorite fan meets wrestler story is the anon who gave Lita (or was it Trish?) a love letter and that she actually read it and responded to it. He even uploaded the letter to google drive for other anons to read. It was this guy (pic related).

Technically it was a parody of Titanic where they fell in love on the Kiss Kruise but the ship hit an iceberg and they were saved by the Jericruise after being nickeled and dimed to death by Gene Simmons.

I liked the fan that did a "Prom pic" with Mickie James and social media went nuts on it, saying fans shouldn't touch talent. Especially fat obese men.

Mickie came to his rescue though! Said he spends $1,000+ on her used dresses. So they're actually "friends".

Kairi is as adorable as you would expect. Jake the Snake threatened to murder me in an Applebees once. This was not the same night.

PS, Kairi should be super Cena levels of babyface and I don’t know why she isn’t. Dumbest part of current WWE. She could be printing them money.

met AJ styles after a match in Preston (england) while he was still njpw champion and prior-wwe signing.
the was only me and my 2 other mates rooting for him as the rest of the audience rooted for the home talent he crippled previously (RIP Lionheart).
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClNXrtjZvP8 full match from 14mins in)
(I'm one of the people you can be heard shouting "cashing cheques breaking necks" at the home talent)
despite being drunk as frick, AJ was a gent, said he appreciated me rooting for him despite the hometown hate, let me hold the IGWP title and pose for a pic and was overall a nice guy despite he half slurring my words and telling him his matches with christopher daniels in TNA were some of my favourites.
