I guess being short and slaughtering the lamb of God are technically “ways”

I think Meltzer is maybe a little embarrassed that one of his fans whose dad was rich created a promotion solely to cater to him, but because of all the past support and love he's obligated to defend it with the entirety of his being.

Nah. Its just cause the Bucks, Ospreay, and Jericho work him into thinking they're his friends which tickles Dave because he's a mark. If any of them got fired he'd tear AEW and Tony apart just like how he jerked off JCP/WCW as long as Flair was on top, but then went scorched earth on them after they started burying him.

      >for decades bury pro wrestling that isn’t in the Tokyo dome or beaners who flip
      > billionaire comes around and overpays backyarders to flip and sawdust themselves
      > no one watches Dave’s favorite style of wrestling
      > cope

I don't care for MJF, but CM Punk is useless. So, you know, Meltzer's right again.

His promo on Monday did literally 3x Dynamite’s numbers. No hyperbole. 3 fricking times.

mjfs show did better than punks every single week where punk was the star/main event
if you want to be a little homosexual that looks at le quarters and every single person who's involved and blame them for the drops and gains, then objectively MJF was BTFOing punk by the time he sperged out and left

MJF was a midcard comedy act even as world champ. Top stars still remained people like Mox, Danielson, and even Hangman.

this is such a moronic biased comparison it's not even funny. This homosexual is comparing
    >guy in a meaningless feud that only gets promoted on Saturday
    vs
    >guy in the literal main event program of the biggest PPV of the year that gets promoted in literally every show every week
If he was an actual serious journalist, he would make fair comparison. For example. Let's compare ratings of Punk's debut in Collision vs MJF's debut in Collision. That's fair.

    Here we have

MJF's latest TV segment (with overrun) vs CM Punk's latest TV segment

    I rest my case Dave

Seriously, Dave is fricking delusional. MJF's championship run proves he's not a draw and isn't remotely ready for the main event. People complained AEW had no homegrown stars, so Tony had to put 300% behind MJF and he bombed immediately, then Tony doubled down on his awful full year title reign. MJF should be working at a bowling alley somewhere. He's not even ready for television. Tony signed him after he'd been wrestling for 3 whole years.

MJF wasn't even topping merch sales, Punk was while he was out injured or straight up inactive. Not even to mention the dip in ratings/attendance on MJF's reign.

MJF (28) and CM Punk (45)
Yup.. this is a 100% fair comparison

CM Punk has diehard fans who'll follow him anywhere he goes and he has demonstrated this both in WWE and AEW the last few years. Anyone who likes MJF is just an AEW fan who is going to be watching AEW with or without him anyways.
He was not a difference maker at all.
I think Moxley and Danielson are the only "stars" currently in that company who, if booked properly, will be able to improve tv ratings and ticket sales.

Punk is popular in Chicago and the most moronic parts of other cities and that's it. He's washed and MJF had fans on both sides of the aisle.
