Shahid Khan is not going to bankrupt himself because his autistic son wants to play TEW IRL. Also personal wealth is usually tied up in stuff like real estate and assets. You don't just leave money in the bank. Inflation outstripes intrest by a long short and the taxes will eat away at it pretty fast.

AEW could run at a loss forever and it would never, ever, ever, EVER make a dent in Shad's net worth.

No it can't. You're talking about an organization that couldn't pay a cable bill for its nfl football stadium. 12 billion net worth is always
        >Generous to privately owned companies
        >tied up in assets and not liquid.
If you think that Shad doesn't have an accountant around him who is going to say "shut down the money pit" at some point you're delusional. They could lose 25 mil a year probably for ten years, but if you have a business venture that's out of startup territory (like AEW, 5 years old, over 50 mil in lifetime revenue with over 50 employees) someone is going to turn off the money faucet. There is no way that the Shad empire is going to sell assets to save tony's toy fed, and my guess is that around the 100 million mark in loses there is either going to be a shutdown or a major rescaling of what play money tony has.

25-30 million is just a tax write off for someone of Shahid's wealth. He makes more than that in his sleep.

Hell, the fricking Jaguars can fund AEW forever, let alone his automobile business which is his actual bread and butter and where the actual money comes.

          >that couldn't pay a cable bill for its nfl football stadium
Yeah, anon, I'm sure this happened because Shahid Khan is broke and not because of some bureaucratic lapse where some moron forgot to do his job.

shad makes a ton of money from a patent he registered and that's still widely used. he literally doesn't need to do anything to keep funding tony's vanity project.

Maybe if it stays a cheap second class promotion, it costs a lot to run it at WWE level. WWE earns $400 million a year right now and AEW earns $175 million.

Well Tony is losing around 30 million a year
So if Tony runs it for around 30 years he could afford to lose around billion on it
he's running it like a money mark who just wants to play booker his way and not a business

aewtist cope is that Forbes and Dave meltzer know more about the values of MLB franchises than the actual container of major league baseball.

If I was that guy I'd be mad about Forbes giving accurate MLB valuations too. They're all way down and it's embarrassing for him, that's why he's just seething and not doing anything to disprove those claims.

      That's not how valuation works.
Shahid doesn't have 12 billion in money, he potentially has 12 billion in assets, some of that is money, but most of it is his property, businesses, etc.
He's not going to give Tony alone all of his cashflow, and isn't going to sell other businesses to keep AEW running.

You Black folk don't seem to realize just how much 1 billion dollars is. Yes, I know that he doesn't have 12 billion dollars cash because that would be LESS money than it sounds like. Shad having 12 billion in assets is much more wealthy than if he had cash.

Tony can run AEW as it stands for decades without his father even noticing the impact, kek

          >don't seem to realize just how much 1 billion dollars is
Most people cannot conceptualize a billy. 55 milly is a lot. And that's not even half of 1 billion. Saying that, 12 billion does not last forever if you're losing millions in huge chunks with no turnover.

            It quite literally does, anon.

1 million seconds is 11 days, 1 billion seconds is 32 years.

12 billion dollars is an absurd, incomprehensible pile of money. I can't even properly conceive of it even with this example and neither can you because it's just too much.

There isn't a goofball alive who would spend 2 billy, let along 2 milly on a company that has been in the red from day one and is the furthest thing from profitable. TK's a shoot moronic money mark that keeps borrowing daddy's money to keep his tugboat afloat because he has never operated a successful business.

No, no, no, you see, AEW is worth more than an MLB baseball team with 70 years of history that runs profitably and is guaranteed money from the league. Did I forget to mention that you can trust Forbes because Alfred Konuwa and Bixenspan worked there?
