Certainly appears so. AEW is getting cancelled.

Better than the dumpster fire that is BR

I can't believe I'm the only person who's used BR that's never had a problem with the show other than short periods of where the quality goes to shit but eventually clears up. Is it really that bad for everyone else.

You watch it on BR? What a brave soul

      Anonymous

I've watched every AEW PPV on BR and I've never had a problem besides, yeah, a little bit of a break in quality. Everybody else makes it sound like such a house of horrors.

Why doesn’t WBD want it on their in house app?

      >Getting a smaller cut of the revenue than WBD would give you is a GOOD idea
Found the guy booking 19k seat arenas to fit in 3k AEW fans

Is it not possible that Khan is putting it on other mediums besides Bleacher Report to try and nudge WBD into buying the exclusivity to his PPVs?

Because AEW is a pissant secondary company and WBD investors have suffered enough

AEW ppvs have actually fricking delivered though. Say what you want about their weekly shows, but you can't say that about ppvs like revolution, wrestledream, forbidden door, all in, and all out 2023

to be fair putting 3k fans in a 19k arena gives you a shot at dispersing their odor

The earth has been thoroughly salted around here so you'll have to pardon the cynicism.

For what we've been told by "experts" like Meltzer, Tony Khan has shown far too much unreciprocated loyalty to WBD. Either Meltzer is a complete and total fricking liar who has covered up for WBD ratings being an unmitigated disaster and massive disappointment.......OR, Tony Khan should tell WBD to eat shit if they're going to keep dicking him around, and he should take AEW elsewhere for the massive raise they are due

AEW has only been a failure in terms of trying to present themselves as being an equivalent product to WWE. By most standards, they're the 2nd best wrestling organization many of us will experience in our lifetimes. Their biggest issues are scaling issues, too many employees sitting at home, and access. Putting PPVs on YouTube absolutely solves the access problem; next Tony needs to rip off the band-aid and let a few dozen people walk, along with renting smaller venues despite the protestations of his high-priced veterans.

AEW is a show that belongs in jam-packed 5-8k arenas with a grittier presentation and a raucous crowd, streaming around the world for everyone who is sick of WWE's glitz and glam bullshit - this commenter included. The current AEW being half philanthropy half capitalism isn't working. Shifting more of the product to YouTube and away from failing WBD is a step in the right direction.

TLDR: idk WBD can eat shit tho

            >For what we've been told by "experts" like Meltzer, Tony Khan has shown far too much unreciprocated loyalty to WBD.
Lol. AEW doesn't do house shows and their gate is miserable. TV is their business and WBD is that right now. They have to be loyal to WBD.
            >Either Meltzer is a complete and total fricking liar
            Meltzer is a liar.
            >Tony Khan should tell WBD to eat shit if they're going to keep dicking him around
Tony needs to eat WBD's shit. No one else wants his product.
            >the massive raise they are due.
Kek. For what? 300k on Friday and Saturday. 700k on Wednesday
            >AEW has only been a failure in terms of trying to present themselves as being an equivalent product to WWE.
No. It's a failure. It started out pulling Raw numbers with significant momentum. Now, it's basically post-Hogan TNA.
            >Their biggest issues are scaling issues, too many employees sitting at home, and access.
Their biggest issue is no one wants to watch Tony Khan's shit fantasy booking.
            >Putting PPVs on YouTube absolutely solves the access problem
No. It's basically WBD saying they are cool with Tony leaving because he doesn't make their platform money.
            >AEW is a show that belongs in jam-packed 5-8k arenas with a grittier presentation and a raucous crowd
The absolute headcanon that AEW could ever be the second coming of ECW while booking the Bucks and Riho is beyond me. Tony has zero edge. His EVPs are midget pussies. How do you cultivate grit when you wont let Hangma'am drink or when you have a fat out-of-shape frick like Kingston with 15 belts.

      >putting your PPV on the most widely used video app in the world is... le bad!
No. This is bad. You can't spin this as positive. This is WBD basically saying AEW isn't pulling enough PPV money for them to be exclusive on TNT sports media app (BR). This is basically WBD encouraging AEW to date other people.

How the frick is this make believe? WBD literally told Tony that their PPV product is so shit they don't want to exclusively sell it anymore. Do you think this bodes well for their "new TV deal" that's going to be announced "any day now."

I don't know why they don't post full tv matches for free on their channel, this is how you promote yourself, when I type Ospreay on youtube I want to see his match vs Takeshita not some rubbish quality indy slop

      Anonymous

I wouldn't be surprised if that sort of thing kills their promotion in the algorithm.

They upload pretty significant chunks of the matches on youtube, but if you did the whole thing, then people would be less inclined to watch your show, when they can just catch the full thing on Youtube.

Some of these services are probably realizing the word of mouth aew ppvs have been getting as of late. I would say it's the only thing AEW clears WWE in.

It's more likely that warner just agreed BR was shit after the last ppv's issues, and let AEW sell the next one on other platforms. So they're going to put it in multiple places to maximise the total sales.

Honestly, they should do this for their old PPVs as well. I'd love to watch Cody vs Dustin, but the only way to do so is by going through BR's dogshit site.
