Should Twitter/X be forced kayfabe only for wrestlers, since they clearly dunno how to act on it?

Should Twitter/X be forced kayfabe only for wrestlers, since they clearly dunno how to act on it?

Also why do wrestlers always act like this on Twitter? Its always some absolute random who they'll never interact with again that sends them down this self loathing "I need sympathy" spiral.

Agents should punish talent when they post homosexual tweets like this.

Agreed, they punished them for Twitch so they should have punished them for Twitter. Twitter exposes them far more than Twitch does.

I'd say that describes you better, but he's being heelish anyways, so what is the issue with him trying to annoy people?

      Anonymous

That always annoys me too, when someone says something stupid on Twitter and everyone makes fun of them or roasts them for it and they go "HAHA I WAS JUST BEIN A HEEL, I WORKED YOU ALL, YOU GOT WORKED, NOW I HAVE HEEL HEAT" Bubba Ray does this A LOT. But
      >1. Is your twitter kayfabe or not? First you do the "kayfabe" "heel heat" tweet then directly after you break kayfabe and use insider terms about the tweet?
      >2. How is that getting heel heat are more people gonna boo you because you're annoying on twitter?

They always have been, see stories of Shawn and Bret in the mid 90s and their childist and over sensitive antics. See WCW 2000, its just there was no twitter then to expose them. They still had that mystique, while Twitter has killed their mystique.

I think WWE and AEW or any bigger company that signs talent to exclusive deals with monthly payment and designs their merch should entirely prohibit wrestlers from using Twitter. Instagram is kind of pushing it already but at least there's a lot less of an opportunity for some moronic shit to happen like it does on Twitter.
Indie wrestlers have a good reason to have social media, you can use it to promote yourself, advertise your merch, it's an easy way to be contacted for bookings by promoters etc. Whereas these big time homosexuals just use it for ego stroking and the occasional sponsorship

Its just really annoying when someone in WWE or AEW feels sad one day so they make a post fishing for sympathy. It's pathetic.

they 100% should stay in character. we all know that having a believable character makes better stars: Roman, Cody, Rock, MJF, Cena, Jericho (Yes, it's a character and you're getting worked).
take Bray in 2023 for example, the guy had a mental breakdown on twitter when WWE reminded the fans that Roman beat Bray. how am I supposed to take that guy seriously now? at least he's not streaming games like Cole and Omega.

that being said, if they're paid to act like characters on TV, they should also get paid for their character work outside of the show - on social media, on the street and so on.
that way, if they choose to act like b***hes online, then they'll simply miss out on a bonus kayfabe paycheck.

It even exposes Tony, would he have the reputation he has today if it wasn't for his Twitter meltdowns? He's damaged AEW.

All wrestlers should be forced to do kayfabe only twitters, if they feel they can't do that, they should reliniquish their account to the social media team to tweet for them. It should all be in Kayfabe, if they break these rules then they should be suspended or even fired.

This isn't a big ask or a controversial move either, the movie and music industry does this, all their Twitter accounts are managed by the PR teams, hence why they're all just full of their PR appearances and shilling their latest movie or whatever. Why'd this happen? Cause the industry learned celebs can't be trusted with a platform that allows them to speak their mind and get validation from obsessed stans in return.
