hmm i kinda have a question
i have the impression that the innings here are way shorter than in mlb games
are koshien rules different or what

Brazilbro can probably answer with a lil more experience (new to Koshien), but from what I gather Japanese batters and pitchers don't seem to take a lot of time between pitches. Maybe a culture thing? My only other reference is DR and MLB and both feel much longer even with a pitch clock in the latter case. There also seems to be a lot more focus on contact from the hitters and attacking the zone from the pitchers, so more chances for the defense.

I realized I didn't completely answer your question. There's no designated hitter for the pitcher in Koshien as far as I can tell; the designated hitter has become the norm for pitchers over the last 50 years in professional leagues, but amateur leagues may be a hold out. Amateur leagues also use aluminum/carbon fiber bats instead of wood to provide the batters to impart a bit more power on their swings. There's no pitch clock, which is an MLB feature and also includes how many times the pitcher can step off the mound/throw to first to hold the runner on. I don't know about shift rules, but defense is usually less emphasized at lower levels of play. Otherwise, everything appears to be the same.

they are, in avg 30mins and without pitch clothes

the pace of the play is faster, they throw piches faster than a pro does, also the fiield change happens in 30 seconds instead of MLB that tooks 2 mins beacuse of the ads and everything else that happens in pr ofield
