This is far too arbitrary to be useful seems like it was pulled out of someone's ass.
The Knicks value is completely based off being part of MSG and the property, but the >Rags who are the same Organization, owner and property portfolio are at 85.
The Chargers and Jets who are perpetual tenants with minimal fanbases with facilities in the suburbs are at 10 and 31. The Kings (Who are owned by AEG who actually own Stap-- Crypto Arena) are 99, the Lakers, who are just a brand and a trust fund are number 4.
Ferrari and Mercedes which are intrinsically tied to brands shouldn't have any value at all, Mercedes-Benz is worth about 100 times more than any of these teams.
The Knicks and Warriors are obviously valued because of their stadiums that serve as event spaces in rich areas, but the Celtics.
Finally the Boys at number 1 makes no sense, Jerryworld was impressive 10 years ago, now it's just a nice stadium in Dallas, the Rams have a better version of it in a richer and more heavily populated city.
And there's no way in hell Da Bears are worth more than $20,000

Why are soccer teams so poor?

        Anonymous

        - Risk associated with relegation and not qualifying for lucrative competitions
        - Most of the world outside of the US is staggeringly poor
        - Small domestic markets
        - Soccer is still relatively uncommercialized

Reddit isn't exactly thriving. It's not attracting young people, it's seeing the same problem Fhite, facebook and frankly every other place online that isn't TikTok or Twitch is having.
Young people don't use the internet like we do, they don't type longwinded shitposts about their passions, they watch videos of people doing anime faces, dancing to guys who came up as trap artists but became Green Day knockoffs

    >market value
meaningless buzzword. Tesla has a higher market value than GM, is Tesla worth more to the economy than GM? Do Tesla's shareholders make as much as GM's shareholders on their shares? If Tesla disappeared right now would it have the same impact as if GM disappeared right now?
Reddit and the Dallas Cowboys are worth 8 billion dollars, great. Now find someone willing to pay 8 billion dollars for the Cowboys. Find a private equity firm willing to buy Reddit for 8 Billion Dollars to take it private. You can't a bunch of Redditors bought stakes in Reddit, you can do the same with Arsenal.
The Cowboys have a stadium that is impressive that attracts conventions and big concerts in the Texas Triangle. Speaking of Arsenal Kroenke owns SoFi Stadium and the Emirates which are in LA and London and serve a similar purpose to Jerryworld.

Stocks are based on how people predict they will do in the future not what they've already done. Yes, there is very good reason to think that Tesla will be much more important than GM in the future.

He is right though. I do not fully disagree with you neccearily but the issue with Tesla is that it tends to not trade around fundamentals rather speculators pumping up it's share price even when the company has unprofitable quarters.

There are numerous reports from the IEA that suggest oil demand will peak in the next few years. While this doesn't mean the demand for oil will necessarily fall completely over the next few decades it will most likely transition into petrochemicals, and transportation for emerging market countries along with refined products that are not gasoline ( jet fuel and diesel). Ev's grew from being 4% of the world's passenger car market in 2019 to nearly 25% last year. It is expected that withing the next 15 years there will be more Ev's being sold than gas powered cars, mostly in developed economies. Hell your own country is a perfect example of this, through the anti inflation reducation act there are tax incentives for people purchasing Ev's and intense investment in battery and semiconductor manufacturers.

My question is to you is what makes you think GM willl realistically get any bigger or hold a larger share of the market in the future ?

It's really easy to change from one engine to another engine. Especially when you have generational assembly lines and talent development.
All Tesla has is Elon Musk making false promises if you fall for that kind of con game you're gonna fall for a lot of con artists. GM has more talent, an established global logistical framework and contracts that go back over a century. Tesla is a Nonunion carmaker that doesn't know how to make a functional gear shift.
