    Used to be*

Nowadays City are so good they are winning with 90+ points even in a down year and the gap between PL and Championship is widening so the promoted teams go down right away.

Literally the most entertainment this league provides nowadays is laughing at whatever Big 6 club is struggling atm.

The PL is exciting because even shit teams like Everton and Luton can take points off the title contenders. Meanwhile in other leagues, teams don't even bother turning up against Real Madrid and PSG because they know they won't win. City usually win the title because they're the best team in the world over a 38-game season. But there's always the chance of an upset every weekend, and that's what makes it enjoyable to watch.

Man this would be such a great narrative if city didn’t have more pts per game than PSG or Bayern every single year

          Anonymous

Because PSG and Bayern wrap the title up by GW25, so they don't need to bother trying in the second half of the season and they start focusing on the CL. City have been pushed until the final few weeks for the past 5 seasons, they need every point they can get in every match.

Everton and Luton combined results against Arsenal and City:
        >7 games
        >0 points
        >7 goals for Everton/Luton
        >23 goals for Arsenal/City

Luton vs City alone went 3-11 on aggregate goals

Arsenal needed a last minute winner to beat Luton in December. Everton also took Liverpool (the third title contenders this season) out of the title race a few weeks ago.

Saying "citywinslol" isn't a valid argument once you start taking a look at some of the facts. It is true that City have dominated the league when it comes to actually winning titles, but they didn't do it as easily as one might believe. Let's a take a look at some of the facts since Pep arrived at City. Let's skip 2016-2017 when City didn't win, because Pep had just arrived from Bayern.

      >2017-2018
City dominate and win comfortably. 19 point difference compared to number 2, Manchester United.
      >2018-2019
City win, but they were pushed to the absolute limit and won the league by 1 point on the final match day.
      >2019-2020
Liverpool win the title after having not win the league for 30 years.
      >2020-2021
      City win comfortably.
      >2021-2022
City win, but once again they were pushed to the limit by Liverpool. And again winning the league on the very final match day by 1 point.
      >2022-2023
City win, but Arsenal managed to keep up relatively well and City won it with 2 or 3 games left.
      >2023-2024
The title will once again be decided on the final match day, and whoever wins, Arsenal or City, the other made them work it.

And I haven't even mentioned the many other arguments as to why the PL is more exciting than any other league. Like the fact that I could watch any PL team play any other PL team, but I would never in my life watch Eibar play Espanyol or something.

having a dominant team doesn't really invalidate being an entertaining league

honestly think being the richest which they are by a wide margin just means that you'll get fleeced easier for shitters as the real number of true world class-game changer players is very limited and usually end up at the most successful clubs anyway. in the end you are left with teams full of overrated mercenaries that don't give a shit about the team and with bad chesmistry instead of a healthy balance between local lads and mercs

been watching the epl since Fhite became my main board and i can confidently say that the epl is a very entertaining product thanks to the league culture of relentless attacking giving little mind to defending and elaborating play, for a neutral foreigner there's no reason to watch any national league other than the epl outside of the european competitions and obviously your local club in your local league which you should always support

Arsenal have changed, they proved that yesterday when they grinded out a 1-0 win at a place where they normally lose 90% of their matches. And doing so while being under pressure. None of what you said changes the fact that the title race is still undecided.

Yes, and they made it to the CL semifinals with him as a starter. As opposed to any English team. He was still good enough to beat Arsenal. Perhaps Premier League teams need to invest more into scouting? Or do they choose starting formations based on who is the most marketable?

Glasner left Frankfurt because of various mishaps, he also wanted a break in general. It's not like he went to Palace right away. And why wouldn't he, he got offered a lot more money.
So what is your point? The Premier League has more money, that is well-known. It's probably the strongest league in the world in total, yes. But PL customers overrate it to such a ridiculous degree nevertheless. And the excitement factor ... well, we'll talk once City have won their 4th title in a row, and the 6th of the last 7 years. I'm not saying this season was boring, but then again ...
