The trophy is awarded every 30 years though. The first winner was Di Stefano in 1989.

I'm sorry but in what universe was Di Stefano the greatest player of all time? Was this before Southern Americans were allowed to be voted on? Even then it's an egregious pick.

Di Stefano made the biggest club in the world what it is today, the only reason he didn't win a WC is because the AFA was a mess back then and boycotted the World Cup.
Also he won an ICONIC Copa America with Argentina,

          >how is the best player of all time the best player of all time?
Singlehandedly turned Madrid from mediocre into the greatest club in the world.

Madrid illegally robbed DiStefano from Barcelona, as they usually do

            You seem to be mistaken:
Barcelona kept Di Stéfano locked up in a hotel for a month. In other words, Barça kidnapped Di Stéfano.
This is why not only did he play for and coach Real Madrid, but he also went out of his way to do the same at Espanyol.
It's always quite interesting how you subhumans always leave out the small detail of his kidnapping being a crucial reason for him to not sign for Barcelona.
It's also quite funny how you utter wastes of oxygen always also conveniently forget that Barcelona robbed Kubala from Madrid.

8 goals in 22 world cup games (0 in the knock out phase, so most goals were against weaker teams) and 0 world cups
