This is true, Japan has a ton of Supermans and Spider-Mans but there's nobody quite like the big dimes brooding and angsty bat

A big part of it was the hilarious in hindsight investors market. But Comics that were on the verge of cancelation in the 90s sold more per issues than the top comics today. Even if you include that movies that's on a decline as well. I'm not some go woke go broke parrotter like you homosexuals, but clearly people were more interested in the first group of avengers than any of the marvel stuff after, which probably has more to do with them having a clearer road map and robert downy jr being charming than "omgz womben scur me" like you morons think.

It's because the movies all follow the exact same formula and the guy producing it all has every character retconned to be the same character making the same unfunny jokes. Even the most passive viewer who doesn't understand basic writing has gotten bored of that shit. They only have the deranged fanatic guys who see MCU as the popular thing to identify as left

nah that's just the smark opinion. manga has a more intuitive and streamlined approach for newer readers to get into. comics continue to be clusterfricks that no one that hasn't been invested into the genre for the last decade or two can't seem to get into.

This. It’s easier to pick up volume one of a manga than it is to do the research needed to understand a new issue of Spider-Man. That said manga is gay and for morons. And stand alone stories super hero stories are great.

Manga is suuuuuuper gay. The women hate men for not being rich, the men hate the women for wanting a rich man, and it's driving them gay.

For all its faults, wrestling lately definitely feels like it’s on a slow but sure upturn in mainstream recognition and appeal, (minus AEW) meanwhile, comics that aren’t on Webtoon and/or in Japanese are still struggling to connect with any audience that isn’t the same 300,000 people that buy every comic anyway.

When I hear a manga fan talking about power scaling and combat systems and it’s not about a video game I just see red and when I come to they’re on the ground and with a swollen face crying in pain.

      Fanatic weirdos spamming buzzwords. Great.
Very few manga are battle shounen and fewer still are built around escalating power up bullshit.

Comics stores are either closing down or only surviving by selling manga and funko pops. Trying to actually sell comics is a death sentence. In comparison wrestling is pretty healthy in the us.

Superhero comics are such a disaster that they got logged by their own movies.
Manga industry destroys them in superhero shit and even normies have accepted that.
Pro wrestling has a larger audience than western capeshit but little boy manga/anime destroys both.

Comics have a smaller market, but comics are more entertaining. Wrestling is stale and predictable. Nothing has changed in 3 decades. Same entrances, same make the saves, same style of feuds, they change no formula. Comics still innovate from time to time at least.

But strictly by popularity, wrestling is bigger.

Creatively, comics. Heck, your main wrestling writer GEEEWIZZZ was a huge comic fan.
