Who's the most retarded choice for a manager ?

Hansi Flick at Barça :

>Spent all its career in Germany
>Is a Good tactician but with absolutely 0 charisma (as demonstated by his run as Germany's NT manager)
>Has been totally incapable to instigate a proper winning mentality to Young promising players when he had the chance to (insert Havertz motm pic)
>Will go to a club that pride itself on its identity of play, and homegrown talents
>won't be able to recruit lots of players due to financial problems
>Will have difficulties to connect with fans and players
>Won't win against madrid (barça's sole reason for existing).
>will basically be Rudi Garcia in naples but even worse

Vincent Kompany at Bayern

>Be Bayern Board
>spent a season recruiting from the PL
>have one of the most prolific and efficient attack in all of europe, with a lack luster defense
>the core team is showing its age
>keep your fraudulent defense
>doesn't do anything to keep kimmich (so far)
>Fire Tuchel because of disagreement with sports direction
>Hire the man who built the 3rd worse defense in this year's Premier league and whose tactics are average.
>Said man has never ever played for you and has 0 connection to the club or any of your players

Am I the only one who thinks these are terrible choices ?

      Yes. WITH BAYERN.
He was in the sports direction before that. The man litteraly knew every single player and even brought them himself.
He will not have this opportunity at barça. That's the fricking point you imbeciles.

You know what happened when he didn't have the players he wished to ? He got mogged. And he will get mogged again.

Isn't Kompany just a temp manager for Bayern
I thought the word is they just want someone to tide them over for a year until they get their proper manager in, who could be Xabi Alonso. That's why so many managers rejected Bayern.

    Am I off base here?

No, they will literally pay 20 million for the Burnley shitter nog and give him a long term contract.
Buyern "fans" are literally calling him a great talent and "interesting" choice because le heckin trainer manager.

It's so obvious, no one would say that about any other failed trainer.

Kompany is unproven and has no less pedigree than Xabi did in 2022, it could work out. They have the players to win when set up properly.

Flick at Barca is cursed. He's not going to get the players he needs and Ancelotti is going to eat him alive.

      >Kompany is unproven
c**t spent 100 million dollarydoos on a bunch of moronic players they scouted using an analytics program he part owns that included a GK from Citeh for like 20 million who he replaced his Championship winning keeper of the season with and played him 28 times (TWENTY-EIGHT) before finally giving up on him and going back to the best keeper in the Championship from the year before. He is a proven moron.

Easily Kompany. At least Flick had a good run with Bayern. Kompany won a second tier with easily the most expensive squad, and then got immediately relegated despite heavy spending and a team above him getting docked 10 points.

    Kompany, obviously.

Flick is the worst choice by far given that he has moron Ngubu tactics and fails when his nonstop attacking ethos fails. His lack of OOP preparation is worse than Xavi's (who unironically needed a DM to take Barca a level higher in the UCL) which tells me that Deco and Laporta have no fricking clue what they're doing or what is reasonable progress. On top of that, he showed no willingness to change his tactics at Germany and his fullback width dependence was suicide since Germany lack athleticism out wide.

Kompany is basically another Arteta and Alonso in terms of philosophy. Juego de Posicion has taken over as the new meta philosophy for the elite clubs in Europe and is why so many new managers that are excelling in European competitions and top 5 leagues are copying Guardiolism. Elite clubs with good recruitment do not care so much about the results of managers but the process behind those results and if a manager follows a JdP framework, they are likely to do a decent job for an elite club. The work that Kompany did in the Championship was exceptional in that Burnley played good possession football and were on the front-foot in that division. Obviously finances and player quality was his downfall this season and this shouldn't be a negative on him because many Championship clubs do not survive their EPL comeback seasons. Another positive for Kompany is that he's played at the highest levels and knows exactly how to win leagues and prepare for cup competitions.
