Nothing to cope with when my words are backed by facts. Vader, Douglas, Owen, Bulldog were among those who had their pushes halted by the Kliq. They also tried to hold back Austin but Bret made sure to put him over big.

You don’t remember when Shawn humiliated Bulldog in front of his family?

Shawn only worked with his friends, Bret only worked with his family, the rest were just jobbers for Carder

This is the funniest way to describe the new generation, made me kek remembering how final boss monster heel Vader was instantly buried the moment he was in the trajectory of HBK and he just became a fat jobber for the rest of his career. Also Ahmed Johnson who for some reason I remember as being injured for literally his entire career, somehow got monster pops every time he was on screen, even though his promos were genuinely unintelligible and he couldn't have a match with anyone on the entire roster.

Also for as talented as these guys were there was no one close to Hogan or Austin level of popularity. These guys just didn't have the charisma of guys like Hogan, Austin, or Rock. Hall probably had the most, but he wasn't a self mark so he just went with the flow.

When the whole product is kid-friendly, you have to lighten the stakes and thus everything just feels like dudes having fun in colorful tights as opposed to the most important thing ever.

when people complain about the PG era it always kekles me, PG era is more WWE than the attitude era ever was even going back to the Hogan days
Vince was always obsessed with family fun time bullshit until his company started to collapse

They had good main events imo, the TV shows and midcard were full of shitters though.

If they just put the strap on Luger or Vader they could've made it work

Razor Ramon/Scott Hall is such an interesting case to me. Soft locked to mid card but by every stretch of the imagination had every possible aspect of talent in droves to be a multiple time world champion. Dude HAD it.

The WWF roster was in shambles after the steroid scandal and the entire top of the card had to leave the company. Most of them went over to WCW. Vince refused to use Macho Man who wanted to put over Bret and Shawn so he left.

The New Generation was the WWF frantically trying to build new stars after all their guys left. Also WCW kept poaching the guys they were trying to push.
