Fold obviously. If there are 3 players chances of atleast one having an ace or king is astronomical, only a queen or diamond saves you then

Fold. My math is going to be off a bit but ive got best case a 1/40 QD, 1/10 any queen, or a 1/4 any diamond assuming none of the other players have one.
The way the other players are betting it would be stupid to think that none of them have an ace or king.

      OP, blinds are 100/200

pic related is the board? obviously fold, you could be drawing dead to a Qd, which one of the other players might have.

if the scenario is preflop, i’m still folding, let the small stack die and ladder up the money ranking.

Yep, scenario is the current board, you're on the turn round.

Fold. You’re probably getting beat by a full house right now and only a royal flush will save you, so only 1 card in the deck makes you win

Would be weird to lead out with 1k if you didn't have anything. For this many players to be involved means there probably wasn't action preflop. You don't bluff after limping in. This looks pretty straightforward. The shortstack is taking 4/1 (%20) with a flush draw after being allowed to stay in till the turn. The UTG and guy after him have aces with a chance of chopping the pot. It's 4/1 to take down 5.5k and the chip lead. Because its unlikely the shortstack has an Ace given that they'd have went all in on the flop, you call 3.5k and fold if you don't get a Queen or diamond.

Poker chad here, you didn't give me enough information to make a proper hand assessment. Without knowing who did what on the previous streets, let alone hands, it's hard to say. Has small blind been playing loose all day or did he get shrekt with a couple bad beats? Is UTG a super tight OMC who got lucky and shrekt small blind, or does he actually have the skills to pay the bills and he's been bleeding me dry all day? But the all important question is what is my stack size. If I'm already pot committed, sure I'll call. I usually play pretty tight when I'm fishing for a flush on the river, but if I'm backed into a corner I have no other options but to fight it out. If I have at least 20 big blinds, then I'll fold and let them duke this shit out. Remember the more people who are in the hand, the worse your odds are. There's a decent chance that at least a few of these fools have one of the diamonds I'm looking for. The board has already paired so I'm not enthusiastic of my chances of winning on a straight either.

Scientifically speaking the theory is that it’s the optimal way to play over a literal impossible to determine number of hands. The issue is - though it’s prolly optimal overall due to percentages - morons take that to assume that it’s always 100% MATHEMATICALLY THE CORRECT WAY TO PLAY not taking into account the game that they’re ackshually playing.

I dont see a QdQx in anyone's range. All the aces are taken up to continue going for that. Clearly the small blind is loose and trying to hit clubs. You have to call if your goal is to win the tournament.

Also this, being able to suppress any type of emotions and body language for hours, sitting on a hair, after wins or losses, that can be upsetting while still keeping a rational decision making mind is harder than it looks. A lesser man would go insane.
people underestimate how pro poker players are talented at it.

It's a one decision game, no matter how you dress it up all you actually do in poker on each 'turn' is push or fold.
Now making that decision obviously becomes incredibly hard at key moments but it's still one decision and is thus pretty boring.

            Anonymous

Your decision making is based on many, many factors, ranging from mathematics, psychology/reading body languages etc...
Saying that poker is just making a decision game in which you say: "I check", "I call" etc... Is surface casual thinking. It's much deeper than that and you know it. Luck also has its say on the game, but a strong minded dude can even beat a weak minded dude with a much stronger hand by bluffin (unless he has the best hand possible)

you are one card late for calling or raising all-in. The question is useless without the action on the other rounds included, and OP is a homosexual who knows this. What did the short-stack do pre-flop and on the flop?

      Anonymous

I'll go one step further: if you were at that table, you would already know the stack sizes and previous hands of everyone. You would know what they did pre-flop and on the flop on this hand.

For the sake of argument, you are dropped into this hand blind, taking over another player's hand, without once having seen anything that happened at that table. So you obviously fold. That way you get the chance to see the action and future hands without committing your chips blind.

Stupid fricking poll and OP should sudoku for even posting it.
