I watched the match where he won the title because he's been getting a lot of hype. It was average.

Not to defend Anzai but Nakajima is mid and totally overhyped by purogays

Reminder that it took Misawa 2 years AFTER going over Tsuruta to actually win the Triple Crown and he was way more ready to be the ace and carry the company than Anzai is right now.

This is a desperation move and I kind of feel bad for him, lots of pressure on his shoulders.

They converted the Triple Crown into a single title years ago (sadly)

They should go back to the NWA International and PWA titles, bring 'em back and fold them in.

Yeah because only Dave Meltzer thinks Misawa was AJPW's biggest star and the 90s were its best booked era ever you absolute fricking moron

It took Misawa two years to dethrone the old ace.

It took pure hearted turbochad Anzai two minutes to dethrone some faux tough manlet.

          Seems about right to me?

Including you, clearly, you idiot. So shut the frick up as you have no idea if the booking is good or not (pro tip, Fuchi’s booking is always good). Go back to watching Gedo book a bunch of random roundeyed indie shitters in a Wii Sports death match or whatever.

          >(pro tip, Fuchi’s booking is always good)
Yeah, so good that last month Fuchi (70) booked himself to face Anzai (24) and they went 21 minutes before Anzai forfeited because he said he was too young and unskilled to beat a true master of wrestling like Fuchi.

“Flash brave” Yuma Anzai is a tremendous talent. In a few years, he will be leading not only All-Japan Pro Wrestling, but also the Japanese pro-wrestling world.

A legitimately handsome man, 6'2", inverted triangle body shape ......, he is truly a man born to be a pro-wrestler. His gifted physique looks like young Antonio Inoki. "I've seen Mr. Bab and Mr. Inoki on YouTube," he laughs.

His first exposure to pro-wrestling was the G1 Climax final (2012) between Okada Kazuchika and Karl Anderson. "I was shocked to see wrestlers that big doing amazing moves at a ridiculous speed. It was cool," he recalls.

He devoted himself to amateur wrestling in high school and college, and joined AJPW in 2022, debuting at the Budokan to commemorate the 50th anniversary of AJPW. He's been having an exceptional rookie year.

"Of course, I still have a long way to go, but one day I will be able to say my signature phrase," he said. His signature phrase will likely come when he wins his dream title. "The triple crown belt is my biggest goal. I want to become a champion anyway."

He also hopes to travel abroad. "I watch videos of foreign wrestlers. I love atmospheres of foreign shows. It's exciting to think that if I go in there ......" he said.

He is polite and honest. He has a very good reputation among seniors in other promotions. "AJPW got a great wrestler. We must work hard to develop young wrestlers as well." "He's like a young bamboo that has grown straight up. Not only has a great physique, but also has a great heart." "He's like a young samurai."

"The ring is a place where many stars, past and present, shine. I want to shine there, too. My goal is to be the best in the future," he said. We are looking forward to this young man's future.
