Realistically though what can AEW do with more money that they can't do now? They've got their top stars locked in already and there are no free agents or "gamechangers" they could steal from WWE. More money would basically just mean Jericho has more drinking money
>steal the bigger names from WWE >finally have special sets for special Dynamites and PPVs again >can buy cars or some shit to destroy for cool segments >Rampage can be live every week
Theres a lot you can do with money
Why doesn’t Tony just invest in that? It’d be nothing for him to do it.

No expert but a couple reasons
>Contract issues if the guy just pumps tens of millions into the company >Just because he has millions doesn't mean he is going to invest all of it into wrestling
they pretty much do have to have the nba if they want to keep tnt going. the channel's a completely dead network without it and the important nhl games. when there's no nhl or nba, rampage with its shit ratings is still usually the second or third best drawing show every week on that channel. and that includes shows that feature in far better time slots.
exposure also has a lot to do with it, thats why ECW used to give their tv show to spike for free. NBA not going to sign for someone that doesnt have many viewers. people actually used to watch Ice hockey before they signed themselves to the highest bidder on a network nobody watched and it killed their viewership, and it never recovered
Didn't they JUST last month renew the Inside the NBA crew (including Barkley, who had previously said he would retire when he turned 60 in 2023) for another ten years at big money? Why would they do that only to turn around and lose the league? Doesn't make sense. Seems more likely that saying "we don't have to have the NBA" is just your typical pre-negotiation posturing.
>NBA wants $75 BILLION for TV rights
That can’t possibly be correct. What does MLB get for their Tv deals? What does the NFL get? I understand they have way less games, but football is way more popular than basketball. Was that supposed to be $7.5 billion? That would make much more sense.
Damn that frees up a lot of money for us AEWchads
To spend on wwe maybe
Based. Give that money to AEW instead

fire all the morons in production and hire actual professionals that know how to work camera angles and sport filming to start.
moron
>75bn just for tv rights
this shows how fricking irrelevant wrestling is nowadays
desperate fricking housewives outdraws us, they deserve a Fhite board more than we do
Women don't visit Fhite
Very transphobic of you.
Hell, magic the gathering caused a huge financial ripple this week

Ever heard of a negotiation tactic?
>we want 75bn
>no
>ok we'll go to the network that will give us it
real solid tactic. universal, disney & fox would take that deal in a second

Disney already has NBA on ESPN and ABC. Them going to FOX or Amazon would be shake things up.
make things more gay more like, no inside the nba no dimes.
>aew gets 75b for next deal
Holy moley what a successful company
so they paid barkley a hundred million dollars to not have the nba? kek yeah ok.
Drop in the bucket to them. Barkley put in like 20 years there he deserves it even if he is a cornball brother
that was the old warner brothers team. discovery is in charge now.
The contract was a month ago, moron
is aew on a channel you have to pay for?
if so people will stop paying for it if they dont have NBA. might mean no more millies
theyre not on the nba channel anymore
Shut the frick up raj
>NBA wants 75b
>even WWE only asks for just shy of 1b
AEW is fine, stop pushing headcanon narratives
>75bn
holy shit do tv companies really pay this much? Fricking why, there's no fricking way they make this much in ad revenue
TV has always been about money laundering. Record low viewership yet record high money being paid for it. Think about it.

This is an anti aew console war thread, stop bringing actual thought in here, homosexual
>$75 billion for apehoop
Shit they wouldn't have made that money back. Warner has big dimes MLB, they'll survive.
Cancelling AEW would free up a lot of funds, i'm considering emailing them and telling them that

>NFL TV rights are worth a total of $7.7 billion
>MLB is around $9 billion
>NBA, less popular than the other two, will get $75 billion
Nonsense.
