Watching Ospreay replay a highlight reel of spots he did in NJPW and doing them at half-speed as they watch in awe has been an eye-opener. I don't consider AEW fans Human, but it is that trash, cattle-like mentality that evokes my envy so.

this match is good but soulless. it was obviously incredibly athletic but there was no emotional resonance to the match, i left the match satisfied but not rewarded. i found cody/roman to be a much more rewarding match, the in ring was great and there was some prime shit talking and it built up logically to the parade of interferences at the end. it felt satisfying, like you just watched a really great season finale.
i like the matches in aew but none of them really make me feel anything on a deeper level than saying "that was pretty cool"
