Again, they ran out of ideas long ago and they don't have the balls to tell stories from outside the US (can't blame them though since the FMW episode it's the worst from the whole show since it tells literally nothing interesting)
Sherri episode was good, went in not knowing much about her life outside of wrestling so it was interesting. Her son's really fricked up with cancer too, doubt they could've waited another season to do it.
Surprised there are any good episodes at all. As you said, I felt like they ran out of ideas plus they had heat with many people for some previous episodes and people didn't want to appear anymore.
That's the price of editorialising the interviews to present a mark narrative that the interviewed wrestlers are trying to denounce, and using one of those marks as a "credible source" for the things he's wrong about.

I asked an ECW guy about Mike Awesome at a convention in New Jersey like 12 years ago, shortly after he died. I was told without too much detail that Mike was driven to suicide by his ex-wife in a particularly bad way. She all but tied the noose for him. I don't know if they can do an episode about him, because it would make women look bad.
the FMW shit had plenty of really great scummy stories to tell (like onita wanting to have a feud with the guy that murdered brody to apparently lure him to japan so they could assassinate the guy in revenge) it's just that no one wants to whistleblow about things that the yakuza were definitely involved with.
That's pretty much why there are next to no episodes about japanese controversies even though you could do a whole season and probably more with them alone
