FIFA Career Mode

>He doesn't play FIFA only to have extremely autistically realistic manager careers while completely ignoring the other game modes even exist

Anyone else does this? Also I just recently discovered some based mods for FIFA on PC so you can actually fix EA's incompetence.

In case you're wondering about the autistic career modes, I literally record every single statistic from every single match. I Start playing in FIFA 07 which has the first realistic manager mode, then in the 2009/10 season I switch to FIFA 10, then FIFA 12, and so on.

In case you're wondering about the mods, in the newer games I add transfer realism mods (so that british players mostly stay in England, superstars rarely change teams, etc), add more teams, leagues and stadiums, add realistic banners, ads, player faces, etc).

pic related is my form in a career in which I started in Colchester United

            Anonymous

Yeah. Also playing with a keyboard instead of a controller makes it a lot more difficult, which I like. Playing in League Two actually feels like playing with farmers. Pic related is the same career as

I have another one that was considerably more succesful although I did play with relatively easy teams. My biggest achievements were winning the Eredivisie with fricking Heracles and making Feyenoord a powerhouse.

, as you can see a lot less losses, mainly due to playing with Feyenoord, Real Madrid and Juventus.

I like how you're kinda roleplaying as a manager moving up. I did exact same on FM

            Anonymous

Yeah. I enjoy doing that. In that particular career I figured since I didn't win the league or CL I would have got sacked in Real Madrid, so I moved to Juventus. I usually like to start in lower divisions or shitty leagues, like in this case, where I larp'd as a Swiss manager

when you switch to a new game doesn't it lose the appeal though since all the transfers and stuff will be undone? or if you got a promotion in game but the club wasnt promoted in real life
also youre the same guy who does those huge winners per year for every league picture aren't you, i can sense the football autism

            >when you switch to a new game doesn't it lose the appeal though since all the transfers and stuff will be undone?
I just edit the squads in game before starting the career mode
            > or if you got a promotion in game but the club wasnt promoted in real life
Nah, I usually try to pic teams that I know will be in upper divisions later, for example taking Burnley in 2006/07 (when they were in the Championship) because I know IRL they were in the PL in 2009/10 when I switch to FIFA 10.It sorta puts pressure on me to actually achieve this. If I don't, then I move to another shitty team at the start of the next game. In newer games I can just edit the leagues in Creation Manager to add any team to the top division, pic related.
            >also youre the same guy who does those huge winners per year for every league picture aren't you, i can sense the football autism
Yeah it's me lmao, I waste too much time in this sort of shit.

how good are you at editing this shit man, there's a guy on soccergaming working a fifa 14 mod that brings back the fifa 07 teams, he actually got it working and even made kits for it but he keeps saying he can't get career mode working since the file or whatever the frick uses default fifa 14 data
would be cool to see that shit actually released and working

            Anonymous

I mean it's relatively easy. You can just change the crests and kits and you're done. But knowing me I'd try to get the stadiums and other shit than isn't on the real game. There are many sites in which you can download kits of specific teams and specific seaons. CM also allows you to edit the squads and players, but actually creating players that are no longer included in the game (for example trying to add Zidane to FIFA 14) would actually require to get the 3D model of the face and shit. Pic related is me editing a kit in 5 min

I'm confused, are you saying that you are still playing older FIFA games? Or is that a mod to play past seasons?

          Anonymous

I play old games. I usually start in the 2006/07 season with FIFA 07. Once I reach 2009/10, I switch to FIFA 10. Once I reach 2011/12 I switch to FIFA 12. Once I reach 2014/15, I switch to FIFA 15. Once I reach 2018/19, I switch to FIFA 19. Once I reach 2021/22 I install the 2022 AIO mod. There are actually some mods for past seasons but I've never tried them. I would love to play in the 90s or so though.

this but also I've had it with EA's shit and I haven't bought a FIFA since 20 and never intend to buy again. Football Manager and my FIFA20 career mode are my go to. Allah willing I will never buy a new FIFA

I've never bought any FIFA games for my PC. I just get them from RARBG or whatever.

that's the worse way to play FIFA.
There's no MOD for their shitty AI.
          They could have
          1. A realistic AI
          2. An AI that plays like a pro player
          3. An AI that play the same way a team plays in real life
          4. An AI that actually tries to dribble and long shot instead of just passing and finishing from inside the box and that tried long shots

Once you realize how boring it is to play against the computer AI you'll drop this.

They do that on purpose so you pay to play online.

FIFA sucks in any mode now anyway, last good FIFA was FIFA 18.

There are some realism mods that help fix some teams and you can also edit a few things in Content Manager (pic related) but yeah. EA are mercenaries. I'm honestly happy there are gonna be so many options in the next years. UFL, EA Sports FC (lmao), whoever gets the FIFA rights and the new eFootball. I'm probably just gonna try all of them and see which one has the better AI and is more easily modded. Also I actually enjoy FIFA 19.

I can't let go of pes 6 and its master league. As much as I like certain features on the pre-2008 fifa games and the amount of clever details they have, the gameplay is way too sluggish and downright soul sucking than on golden era pes.

how i make career mode enjoyable (fifa 19)
    >always sim the first 5 league games - then only play games against teams ahead on the league, sim the rest
    >only play domestic cups if i want to win it
    >sim every home game on the group stage of continental cups, play the away games - on knockout rounds, sim the first leg, play the second leg
    >ignore the overall of potential signings, only useful attributes for the position and tactics are analysed
    >3 YA scouts who scout a nation for only 3 months and only one player of each is brought to the club
    >train the youngsters until they reach 61 in their main attributes, then out on loan until they're useful - if they're not, time to sell
    >2 whole teams, a main and a reserve one - 2 players for every position + future prospects in case anyone gets injured
    >always rotate them when there are 2 games in a week

    gameplay wise
    >world class
    >custom sliders
    >slow tempo
    >7 min halves
difficult enough to not get bored and be tactically interesting, and to keep fifa shithousery to a minimum

Elaborate? What do you mean by useful attributes?

it all depends on the formation and how you wanna play, i'll give one example
        i'm currently using this:
        -------------ST--------------ST------------
        ---------------------CAM-------------------
        LWB-------CM-------------CM---------RWB
        ---------CB--------CB--------CB-------
one of the attacking options i have is doing a direct play involving my wingbacks, with them doing a back pass to my CAM to shoot
for that to work i need players with good pace and crossing as wingbacks, a middle CB needs with an above-average long passing to pass the ball into the space for the wingbacks to run, and a CAM with high pace and decent shooting to score the goal

Yeah that's one thing I do hate. A few weeks ago while playing FIFA 15, in about a year and a half, Real Madrid signed Sturridge (86 rated at the time), Lewandowski and Aguero. It was just too fricking moronic. There are realistic transfer mods though.

FIFA and video games in general have declined/stagnated the last few years. FIFA 10-15 was the peak of the franchise, FIFA 15 was the turning point though with the microtransactions that ended up ruining the game. FIFA 17 with the frostbite engine was the last FIFA I played, haven't even looked at gameplay since but I'm sure it's horrible now. PES 2017 was great also and had the better engine, but due to licensing I don't know if they even make those games anymore. It's just nostalgia now. FIFA 14-15 was great when I was in high school, it really was the peak of these games (FUT was just becoming popular but not enough to be the most important game mode, online matches were fun, career mode was the main focus of the game developers, and there was no troony/blm homosexual shit in your face when you were just trying to play a football match). I even found a glitch on my xbox one to get unlimited gold packs. Good times. In fact when I think about it, football in general was better then. There were no politics, no autistic stats for every player, the game felt more fun between 2005-2015 than it feels now. I myself don't feel as passionate about football now as I once did.
