He believes the MJF promo was a shoot.

>he believes Tony Khan didn't know what would happen
>believes Tony Khan gave MJF a hot mic infront of Warner execs on live TV.
>believes MJF "got over on his own" "without a booker"
>simultaneously, believes Tony Khan is responsible for all booking.
>hates people exposing the business, praises MJF exposing it's all a work.
>thinks the MJF promo was about the things he personally hates, ie: Inner Circle vs Pinnacle.

What is it about this angle that turned him into a complete mark? Is it that he so desperately wants it to be a shoot?

i like listening to cornette clips but he is pretty clueless and his cope about his shitty record as a booker is basically "well if this is wrestling i dont want to be in wrestling anymore"

Didn't MJF basically no-sell getting squashed by Wardlow and bragged about being a safe worker?

Kinda. Thought he'd at least come out in a neck brace or something. The weird part was all of the "exposing" stuff wasn't important to the promo and could have been left out.

Just Jim's typical mentality, if he likes someone he'll praise anything they do, if he doesn't like them he'll do nothing but b***h about them, what they actually do is irrelevant

He's obviously trying to protect the angle because he thinks people are actually worked by it so he's not going to expose it. Whenever something he believes can actually make people believe he won't expose it.

I have no idea what he's said about Seth or Michael cole, his criticisms of Adam smol all boil down to him doing stuff with the young bucks who he hates, his complaints about Jericho only really started when he became aware that Jericho and his wife are trump supporters

He was burying Jericho before that, for the Orange Cassidy stuff and for being fat. His criticism of Adam Cole have nothing to do with the Bucks, either. He's burying his work, his booking and the fact that he looks like he's shrinking.

He's always worked the same way and he's always been a midget, the only difference is now he's doing angles with the young bucks, and Jim was made aware of Jerichos political leanings during his AEW championship run, long before Jan 6th

You genuinely have to be a moron to be over the age of 10 to watch a wrestling match and come away thinking it’s real

      Anonymous

Imagine if you never saw a real fight and no one told you pro wrestling was fake, in the 70s wrestling was still pretty grounded in reality. Stone Cold thought wrestling was real until he entered in the business for example.

        Anonymous

They think wrestling looked the same back then as it does now with midgets flipping off the top rope or doing the worm to win, twinks holding their own against bodybuilders in demon costumes and with modern camera work, and will call the old match boring because it was too slow and not flashy enough and wonder why it ended with a clothesline or suplex.
Most posters think wrestling was always Sports Entertainment™ and never tried any harder to appear legitimate.

Wrestling hasn't been remotely realistic since the 1910s

          That's such a dumb point.
Yeah, Irish Whips don't make any sense. But in the 70's and 80's, angles were "realistic" in that sense that it was 2 guys fighting. Even a feud with goobers like Jimmy Valiant vs Paul Jones was treated serious, not something like Trents mom driving Chuckie and Trent to the arena.
The in ring product was also treated more seriously. The action was slower and simpler, but if you gave a bodyslam to someone outside, that shit was huge. Now we have shitters like Luchasaurus and Nick Cage doing their shitty kungfu fight like they are underwater or Seth doing a Superplex into a Falcon Arrow for not even a 2 count.

Yeah, there was no-selling like with Hogan and the Road Warriors, but nowadays an open match shitter like Joey Janella can kickout from a top-rope spinning tombstone piledriver.

The ones that had two fat guys throwing punches at each other for 20 minutes and hitting each other with bottles of mustard? How "realistic".

Throwing punches for 20 minutes is still a thousands times more based on realism than the shit you see today, don't know how you could deny that.
