It counted though and it's always outside. Do you mean in a large arena? Most discus comps aren't in giant arenas.

EVERYBODY FRICKING THREW THE FARTHEST EVER, EVEN WHAMAN
CLEARLY IT WAS WIND, CLEARLY THIS RECORD IS MEANINGLESS, AT LEAST DO THIS IN LOLYMPICS, WHEN ALL OTHER DUDES ARE BLASTING THEIR HEADS OFF WITH COMPETITION GEAR LIKE U DO, YA KNOW BOT, SO IT'S AT LEAST SOME SORT OF EVEN PLAYING FIELD
>but it's not in the middle of nowhere with perfect wind conditions then
so it means nothing, doesn't count

How is it dumb to state who has the official world record done in an international competition?
Daniel Ståhl never competed at a meme WR chasing competetion like this with prefect conditions because they are a joke. Nobody respects them. Lets see him do it at the olympics

Every single top 10 throw in discus history has been set in favorable wind, it's obviously near impossible to throw those sorts of distances in a closed stadium without solid wind assistance
He threw over 70m in all his attempts and beyond 72m three times though so that's far from wind luck. He has perfected his technique to an insane level of consistency and his average throw is unmatched
He became the youngest in the world to ever throw a 2kg discus beyond 70m last season at age 20 with a 71m throw so he's clearly an unique talent
Most discus throwers don't peak until their late 20s either so I don't know why anyone would think he wouldn't improve this season
74.35m is ridiculous but still within the realms of what's possible from what he's shown, his coach said he had thrown way beyond his old PB in training too
Roje Stona who finished 2nd in the same competition threw 69.05m, same dude threw 68.64m last season. 41cm PB is nothing out of the ordinary
Alex Rose who placed 4th in the competition had a best mark of 68.20m, he threw 69.41m a day later and 70.39m last season. Again, nothing special, way off PB
Miká Sosna was 3rd with 68.96m. That was a solid PB improvement from his 65.57m last season but this dude is also 20 and has the U20 WR in 1.75kg discus with 71.37m. Huge potential, big PB was expected this season
Point being, there were no insane results aside from his throws, he is of course still extremely unlikely to throw beyond 73m in a stadium as everyone else but people look like clowns trying to discredit him
That's not true at all, 9 of his 10 longest throws were at open fields. His PB was set at Bottnaryd, some literal who field with optimal wind conditions, over 90% of discus PBs are set at open field events, not in stadiums
I don't think Polands arguments would hold up in a court of law.
bot, either find a way to make this an achievement (which it isn't) or frick off >wurldz rencrdm
it blew nice, it happened, nobody has done anything remarkable lol
I'm surprised he's better than his dad because his dad is bigger with much longer arms which is usually better for discus

Maybe if he started as a kid to develop technique and bulked up and trained. I've seen alekna do 300+ lbs power cleans for reps like it's baby weight.

It's an official world record recognized by the international discus body that sanctions competitions, cry or nitpick as much as you want, but it's the new WR.

It's the official world record that's been recognized and anyone who wants the world record from now on will need to break that number.
He threw with good wind. There's also the fact that the "stadium" was just a farmers field with nothing blocking the wind. I will be surprised if he throws over 70m in Doha. There's no way he throws over say 72m again this season.
His base is in America afaik. Most others have their bases either in Europe or Qatar. Nobody was going to travel just for that one competition. And last season he also started well and when real competitions came he barley managed to snag a podium. He was far behind Stahl and Čeh. His brother is also good. Might have more potential than him.
white power
doesn't count, wind
>How did he do it?
gemnetics, hard work, roids and wind 😀
Wind always exist though and everyone else was throwing with the same wind
>everyone else
made personal records also - indoor or it doesn't count

Helium
his coach had a human sized beyblade launcher
His dad had the WR at one point too. So he has perfect training and genetics for this.
and perfect wind, don't forget the perfect wind
everybody and their brother PRed there, it's an joke xD
And yet nobody else got the WR 🙂
must be that wind didn't blew as nice for them - u can't prove otherwise

He didn't, the world record was owned by a German for 38 years. His dad had an Olympic games record not the overall world record.
My bad, but the point remains that he has a perfect upbringing for this

His dad still holds the Olympic games record
I don't think Polands arguments would hold up in a court of law.
How's that?
Wind is part of the sport. They throw discs outside in a field.
>previous wr hold was a 'german' (polack)
>poland mad as frick in here
rmyt
>Poland seething at Lithuania
Every time
what the frick is wrong with the poolack
He was the previous record holder
Previous record holder was an East German
When is it not windy?
PEDs obv
They're all on PEDs. He's light weight for a discus thrower.
he threw the disc really far innit
but it was windy
He threw with good wind. There's also the fact that the "stadium" was just a farmers field with nothing blocking the wind. I will be surprised if he throws over 70m in Doha. There's no way he throws over say 72m again this season.
Most competitions aren't in stadiums and everyone else had the same wind
everyone else was also a nobody. No real competition
It was an internationally sanctioned competition
His base is in America afaik. Most others have their bases either in Europe or Qatar. Nobody was going to travel just for that one competition. Doesn't matter, it's an official world record.
Don’t care Ståhl is still taking the gold
