    Yes

    >no one cares or watches the leauge
    >even in its biggest markets mls teams are nothing above a third choice team
    >low quality of play
    >closed system
    >zero pressure because no one gives a shit
    >opportunity to live in fun cities that you wouldn't get outside of maybe 2 or 3 places in Europe

Years and years ago on here I posted some shit I found found a Chicago Fire fan forum. Basically the entire “ultras” sections at MLS games are the theatre kids from your high school. The Chicago ones asked to be moved to a shittier section where fewer people could see/hear them at matches…because they thought it would got them shown on tv more. They’re failed American actors/actresses who think this will get them >discovered somehow. Look at Fight and Win guy and tell me that homosexual wasn’t in drama club as a teen.

this makes sense. shakespeare -> britain -> soccer.
this is why it's a mistake for mls to allow halfway decent players in the league, it shifts the camera's focus away from the fan groups doing their bit.

all of their wikipedia pages have really long descriptions of these dumb fan groups and where they sit. look at an nfl or nba team - the only one with that is the raiders. the entire point of mls is make these fans feel like they are doing something notable or worthwhile, like they are in a young adult adventure novel.

MLS is mostly an exhibition league. The lower tiers of American Soccer strive to send their prospects to Europe not the MLS.

MLS also has a draft which is really inefficient since if a player is good enough out of college they'll get signed in Europe or go play for a lower tier until a European team notices them.

Nobody on the US Men's Team plays in the MLS.

Nobody on the USMNT the best American players. Play in the MLS. That is all you need to know about Disney Ball. It's an exhibition league.
