    >cornette likes Omega now
    wtf?

He heard like 2 clips from one of Omega's video game streams where he was talking like a normal person and Jim agreed with Rossi being a pedo and something else so he changed his opinion. He also got to find out about tea bagging in games so that's his new joke of the week.

I think it was more the "Punk should still be here. People fight in sports all the time, it's no big deal" comment that did it moreso than some Jap being a pedo.

It's weird how I haven't heard anything good about his promo here until Cornette. The AEW cult is too busy crying over Cody and Paul to talk about their own show.

right after it happened and he faced off with okada they went nuts and said the feeling was back, momentum, etc. but then the ratings came out and they went away for a few days like always. by the time they came back everyone was already talking about backlash.

AEW doesn't have fans, about 700k of them watch Dynamite then when it comes to the other shows like Rampage and Collision they immediately turn off their TVs lol
If they were such dickriders youd think they would watch it all

He's gotten a lighter take on him as a person after that Rossi bash Kenny put on but other than that, there wasn't anything horrible in this segment either than Perry missing ques on the attack.
I watched and it was actually a good promo from Kenny - he's not upselling it for nothing.
But don't worry, as soon as Kenny does the same shit Corny has harped on in the ring, he'll be back shitting on him.

        does cornette care
cornette actually likes when they avoid pulling back the curtain and if they work him into a shoot that he can believe
the problem is he's always taken out of it by the the elite and omega normally due to circumstances
if there's a way to get cornette to believe something even if it's a work, he actually appreciates it for the effort of making him believe it
he just doesn't believe shit like a 4'10" vanilla midget being able to take on a 6'5" monster and competitive much less WIN and CONVINCINGLY SO

          Anonymous

Cornette loves pulling back the curtain if you can curtail it into an angle he believes in, he loves that "rest of the show is fake this is REAL" shit and you can see it in his booking and his fantasy booking. Mostly it comes down to his preference on how things are done or if he likes the people involved, he loves being a nitpicky b***h if the people involved are people or from a scene of wrestling he doesn't like.

            Anonymous

            >Cornette loves pulling back the curtain
no, pulling back the curtain means exposing the business, it does not mean what you tried to suggest it does mean
cornette likes bringing real world issues into a feud because it makes it more believable, especially today where it's hard to believe it when people are smarter to the business
what drew and punk are doing with each other does not mean "pulling back the curtain" it means drawing from real life issues and putting it into the program in a way that makes sense and people can relate to it and tell what's going on

this is in contradiction of what gayew is doing with things like showing the all in footage like it meant anything and that's why it's drawing 0 dimes

            Anonymous

No he also loves the "they're not supposed to be here" and "refuse to follow the script" shit as well, you can just go listen to him fantasy booking ftr vs bucks when ftr first came into aew or his invasion storyline. Working real heat into a story is great, but he also has time for "holy shit these guys are actually fighting it doesn't look like a wrestling match" shit as well depending on who's involved, really that's what it mostly comes down to for him.

Take Punk, he loves him because he's a great character and has an excellent mind, but would rarely critique his absolute dog shit looking offense. By your own admission he should see Punk vs Drew as silly because Drew looks like he could snap Punk in half.

            Anonymous

i literally listen to him all the time and you're saying all these things like
            >but he also has time for "holy shit these guys are actually fighting it doesn't look like a wrestling match"
which makes me even question your understanding of him
in fact it's like it's not even a question anymore, just a statement that you are misrepresenting anything he says
and let me tell you why for the above quote
yes, he wants things believable but at the same time they are working to make it look like they're beefing and really hitting each other but they're totally safe while doing it and it's a sleight of hand to pull it off and engage the audience, but it's not, and this is something he strongly criticizes of gayew, just people "FIGHTING OFF"
if YOU ever listened to him, you'd hear him constantly going off about "fighting off" which was one of his favorite complaints about gayew

and as for punk, he gives punk slack because while originally he didn't think much of him until he heard him talk, he gives him the credit for being a big fricking star
and like the rock, he gets so much more leeway especially with the way drew and punk are working like tom and jerry
yes, cornette gives some leeway to people when "drew can snap him in half" but not for the reasons you're thinking
punk is a goddamn star whether gayewtrannies like him or not and the crowd is into it, so it works
unlike the dimeless bucks who couldn't work a crowd if they hired them as burgerflippers

and because my comment was to long, i had to cut off some thoughts

and also, if you listened to his podcast like i did, you would know that drew vs punk would be set to rules which punk would have to work around to outmatch drew in spite of drew's strength, and that's how it'd be booked

if you listened to him, you would hear him say one of his catch phrases

laaaaaaaaaaaaazy booking, and in contest with no rules, most likely you're correct and punk would lose in a "real fight" but with rules, there's chance that a real competitive match could take place in kayfabe for the sake of the business and the fans would love it

All true, but don't waste your time explaining shit in this much detail. Most people make emotional decisions, not rational ones. Cornette rationally explains what works and what doesn't, and why. Most people decide before the match or segment if they are going to like it depending on who is in it amd what company it is.

it's not really far removed from what i said about the slack/leeway stars get
like look at austin's mudhole stomps that cornette frequently talks about as "looking like shit but it's austin so it got over" and he says that nobody else could pull it off because they're not austin

Which works for him since everyone conveniently memoryholed him making fun of Punk on national TV along with the Bucks right after everything. He's just trying to babyface himself now, and people are desperate, for one reason or another, to give him the hot tag.

        >making fun of Punk on national TV along with the Bucks right after everything
That's the only part of the whole thing that was based on the Young Bucks' part. Capitalizing on the controversy for heat is what a wrestler SHOULD do.

If that was their intention, I'd agree with you. But they were just petty fricks.
That's the indie scene though--or was, rather--and anyone who had followed it close enough would've seen all this shit coming.

kek you cultists are so fricking delusional
it's been established at this point that TK was the one who split the shows, and Punk is confirmed for not telling lies

            Anonymous

TK did not ban Christopher Daniels from tapings. He didn't try to start fights with Ziggler's lil bro (and back down lmao). He didn't get on a mic and rant about selling action figures to BOOS when he was supposed to be a face.

And he literally about Perry invading his space when the clip shows he was the aggressor.

Tony told Punk the locker room would be split and there wouldn't be problems anymore. Instead you had the Elite's homosexual friends going over to Collision to stir up trouble, which they were successful at.

Christopher Daniels is the head of Talent Relations. Punk had no place telling him not to show up to 'his' show, even if Daniels is piss-poor at his job.

He's also bffs with the Young Bucks who sent him there knowing Punk hates their ilk. They knew what they were doing

The victory lap one was definitely petty, and didn't serve a purpose (arguably, I suppose you could say it plays into the characters they currently portray), but the initial stuff they did with Kenny teasing the bite etc. was totally fine.

They were saying it tongue in cheek, the dude saying that in the story isn't insulting them, it's a blue collared dude just going "man look at them homosexuals, they got the life heh". It's not even a jealousy thing or envy thing, it's almost admiration like "damn that's a good scheme they got going on over there".
