It's just that Secretariat was a genetic freak and holds the record.

It's going to be a bunched up race. Less about pace and more about running a solid race. I'm looking at horses in 20-1 30-1 range who have experience to at least show. I like Catalytic, Domestic Product, Dornoch, maybe Track Phantom although he's more of a speedster. Post 17 is a good position for Fierceness to loop around and outpace everyone and win easily. And I have questions about Catching Freedom because I think Brad Cox likes to focus on the other races in that day. By elimating the japanese horse, Sierra Leone because he won't break good enough to close, you gotta look at mid-long odds to place and show and roll with Fierceness to win at 5/2 just because he's so good.
>Post 17 is a good position for Fierceness to loop around and outpace everyone and win easily.
No horse has ever won from post 17, Fierceness would need to overcome a curse.
Going off the Florida Derby if he wasn't challenged and ran well there it's not the worst thing for him to be able to stay out of the pack and take an inside lead going into turn 4.
The Japanese horses are Forever Young and TO Password. If the pace is faster Forever Young could probably steal a place or show with his closing speed. TOP is the more interesting dark horse imo since he should be positioned better but I don't think Japan will ever win this race unless they get some favorable weather.
Derma Sotogake ended up 2nd in the Breeder's Cup in a tougher field. They don't like the venue. UAE Derby winners are 0-19 in the KD but apparently Forever Young is a competitive horse who likes to race. 5-0 is crazy good. He'll be in the final group so 10-1 is a good number. This really might be the time for a Japanese horse.
I'm not considering T O Password to be a factor just because it's so much to overcome if there's already questions about their class.

American an horse is pretty different from the rest of the world. For one thing dirt is the main surface while it's turf everywhere else, the dirt runs faster here especially compared to Japan which is basically sand, the races are usually breakneck out of the gate and a battle of who runs out of gas last whereas other places are more tactical and pace oriented, American horses generally peak earlier in order to make the derby on time, and they're bred and trained to succeed at the unique style ran here. On top of all those advantages for the home team a horse like Forever Young has spent his 3 year old Spring, which is usually an important development period, flying to Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and now Kentucky, while the American horses have had a much less busy schedule. You never say never even though I did say never, but it's a lot to overcome, I think a Japanese winner would have to be an absolute monster or else have everything from the weather to the gate draw and a bunch of other things work in their favor to level the field. A world class jockey would help too, Sakai is pretty mid even for Japanese riders, and Japan an horse is dominated by gaijin jockeys looking for a payday.
No, I will box out horses for anons though. I have never bet on a single thoroughbred in my life, I’m an insider, and I’ve predicted 3 of the last 8 perfectas.
I don't about specific horses, but buy a racing form or borrow someone elses. Don't overthink it just be smart about it. Go for some exacta key boxes. Pick a horse - usually a favorite - that you think will get 1st or 2nd then pick 4 other horses as your box. If your favorite gets 2nd and one of the 4 wins you win the bet. If your favorite gets 1st and one of the 4 gets 2nd you also win. Also try to hit some trifectas (predict who gets 1st, 2nd, and 3rd), and picks 3s (pick the 3 winners of 3 races in a row).
Guy who owns part of Visceral the race horse here, I hope everyone's ready for some horsey fun today! Visceral isn't racing in the Derby, but is expected to make his debut later this month (possibly May 27th) at Santa Anita.
Even the big horse races get almost no attention on Fhite.
I'm going to be at Santa Anita tomorrow boys, can any of you experienced lads help me out with some bets?
Just pick some horses you like and have fun. You'll do about as well as most people who obsessively study the past performances.
Horse racing is a bit different from most forms of betting because it uses pari-mutuel betting. The "morning line" you see when betting on a horse or the "current/live line/odds" isn't actually how your bet will actually get paid out. The morning line is just a prediction by some guy who works for the hose track. The current/live line/odds are roughly what you'd get if they closed betting right now.
They take all the money bet, the horse track takes out its ~15% cut, and then remaining ~85% is divided among the winning bettors in proportion to how much they bet. If there are late bets it can really throw off what you thought you might get.
>They take all the money bet, the horse track takes out its ~15% cut
For comparison, on a standard -110 sports bet, the house take is about 5% of the amount bet (assuming equal action on both sides).
Dornoch has no 5th gear, Catalytic KWABed by Fierceness, Just Steel being ridden by a nepo babby, Just a Touch never raced 2 turns, Forever Young/T O Password >weeb horses, West Saratoga can't run 10f, Endlessly is a turfbabby, Domestic Product isn't Chad Brown's main focus, Grand Mo the First is next to Fierceness

FYI, in the next race, race 4, is in about 10 minutes. I believe it's going to be shown on the USA TV channel if this soccer game doesn't run over. If it does, you can probably watch it online through your online racebook account. I can do it through Twin Spires, not sure about other racebooks.
I placed an exacta bet on this race - $2 that horse 1 (strong quality) finishes first horse 6 (best actor) finishes second. I only bet $2 though.
Fierceness is winning the derby, and seems like Pletcher's ticket to winning a Preakness
Super Saver and Always Dreaming were giant busts though on the second leg
I don't like how he runs good, bad, good, bad. Suggests a nervous horse. Not ideal for the run he has to make. Mike Repole 0-9 in the derby that's including Forte's scratch last year. Sierra Leone at 5-1 is crazy.
As someone who was born in Louisville Kentucky, I watch the derby every year. Regardless this is my first time drinking a mint julep. I was kind of disappointed in it, I thought it would have more of a mint taste. I made it myself, so I might have done something wrong. Not sure, I bought it last night at the grocery store. They only had 2 little packs left. The mint itself tastes like spearmint which is nice.
Put more mint in and crush it down and let it soak
Yeah, I'm letting this next one soak. Aside from crushing I was thinking of blending the mint for one of the drinks so there's little particles everywhere.

I think seeing a jockey in person would be the same awwww as seeing like Yao Ming or Shaq in person. These dudes are like 5 foot and 100 pounds. An above average man of fighting age could pick up one of these guys and just throw them across the room. Amazing in a different way.
Racers used to be like 5’9” max. Now that all categories of racing have minimum weights for everything, being short is only an aero advantage in open wheel racing. Even that is less so now because of aeroscreens and halos.
NASCAR drivers are on average very small as well. There are some tall ones but they all are petite.

Thoroughbreds are bred by live cover only. Foals conceived via AI cannot be registered as thoroughbreds and are therefore barred from thoroughbred racing.
OTOH, Standardbreds, used in harness racing, are allowed to use AI. So are quarter horses.

Now in America i think they can do it without pussy being evolded i'm not sure
In UK the rule is that they have to frick the pussy to breed them.
You know what's funny is it always seems so obvious. I watched yesterday and they just would absolutely not shut up about this guy and kept showing his obese moronic daughter. And then his horse just wins back 2 back. Same shit happened with Rich Strike, they spent 2 hours talking about that motherfricker and his ridiculous odds.
fricker didn't even scream AND THEY'RE INTO THE STRETCH! He was too baffled by the race. The wide angle zoom is also shit, I couldn't even tell who was in first. Frick NBC.
>NBC refuses to mention Forever Young >Literally running in the middle of the other 2 top-3 runners
Tell me how to pirate the French coverage of the Olympics please, I can't take NBC's bullshit again.
They didn't seem prepared this year even the main announcer stumbled out of the gate. Tirico bombed when we all saw the replay clear as day and he was still stuttering, ruining the moment.
They're so obsessed with a story/narrative, they don't know what to do when things aren't in the plan. That's what was up with the whole gymnast/mental health thing in Tokyo, completely out of left field to have the top competitor get completely psyched out. No other way they would have dropped the demoralization/American exceptionalism norm.
He said Resilience was in the lead coming down the home stretch even though Mystik Dan was out in front, it was a really bad call. Colmus fricks up the call every year
Like 3 minutes after the race ended. Not a mention during the race. I was trying to remember FY's number because they weren't saying his name but I could have sworn the horse in the middle had its colors. Even the graphics of the end only had title cards for MD and SL.

These photo finish photos are akshually a composite of infinite frame rate photos so the legs always look wrong. Same thing will happen in a track race.
It still won't be broken, any more than Tis the Law's 2020 winning time of 1:46.53 over 1⅛ mi. broke it. Records are specific to track and distance. The Belmont has actually been run at 1¼ several times before: the last time in 1905. The official record for that distance is Delhi's 2:06⅗ in 1904, though Secretariat's 1¼ fraction was (much) faster than that. When Sir Barton (the first triple crown winner) and Man o' War won the Belmont in 1919 and 1920, respectively, it was only 1⅜ mile. It didn't become a 1½ race for good until 1926 (though it had previously been run at that distance for most of the 1870s and '80s, after originally having been 1⅜).
Delhi's time will most likely be beaten (albeit on a different track), but Secretariat's record 10 furlong fraction of 1:59 is very unlikely to be surpassed. For comparison, that's ⅖ sec. faster than the record for the Kentucky Derby (also held by Secretariat), and 0.36 sec. faster than the record for the Travers (the "fourth leg of the triple crown," run over the same course and distance as this year's Belmont).
Why havent horses gotten faster in the last 50 years? All human track & field world records have been broken over and over but none of these horses can sniff Secretariat's time
Drugs that are undetectable in humans are more profitable than drugs that are undetectable in horses.

put the mint between two spoons and muddle it that way.
Put more mint in and crush it down and let it soak
I'm calling Just Steel
Anyone have a stream? I am stupid
You don't have Peawiener?

It's NBC, man. Get an antennae. Zoomer.

Is horse racing the worst type of sport to post about on Fhite?
>On for 2 minutes
>You get about 2 replies in for the entire race
>Is horse racing the worst type of sport to post about on Fhite?
Probably. but its one the best for watching in person. everyone goes absolutely nuts.

The Derby doesnt attract as much attention on Fhite as it used to
horseracing outside japan is slooooooowly but surely dying anon
still i'm pretty happy to see lots of people at the kentucky derby
lol it's the gold rush for horse racing in oz and nz
It might be over your way but the way you guys race borders on cruelty (insane distances, hurdles and steeples, horrible weather conditions)
Asia and the South Pacific have the right conditions and have found the right balance when it comes to distance and also got rid of the hurdles
The saudis are also trying to start a horse racing 'tradition' kek
People can't accept that an horse is a athlete.
They should start broadcasting this for free. Hopefully a youtube tv free trial will work.
It's on NBC, which is free broadcast TV
The NBC website is only giving me dateline and asks for a paid login when I click on the derby channel.
Have you tried turning on your TV and changing the channel to your local NBC station?
That would require having a TV, homosexual.
It's telling me it won't work without a TV.
No one has an antennae anymore even if they do have a tv. Boomer.
Wrong. NTA, but there are cool networks that broadcast exclusively over the air. Maybe be more informed and less hostile and your life will improve.
go back homosexual
I win because you have a miserable life with that personality.
Watching it on broadcast as we type.
But what is your $15 bunny ear antenna telling you?
Just shove a wire at the coaxial port if you want to be really ghetto/cheap.
It is on NBC, you should be able to get it with a TV and a paperclip.
I know grandpa, that's where I'm watching it. Doesn't mean other people are though.
No one has cable anymore and none of the illegal sites stream it.
It’s on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/live/KIm0omgWI9k?si=A1YfGWt0-Do2B2Ha
Who knows if it’ll stay up for the The race though.
>a terùn, a sardo and a milanese

Ooof.
Martha Stewart paroled out of prison already?
Been out for years.
when did you come out, puto
i came in your mom last night
throwing her in prison was the dumbest thing to ever come out of our judicial system, and our judicial system has done a lot of dumb things
She's been out for decades.
Imagine how much the media hates this event and horse racing in general because it's a White world except for the jockeys, who are mostly private.
you see several "diversity" vignettes where they try to claim its always been a diverse sport
Of course. Olympics will be the same.
Related: That beautiful traditional song is racist
>The original lyrics of the song included the line “the darkies are gay” but the Kentucky General Assembly swapped that racist word for “people” in 1986.

Hurry, make your bets
Just Steel has the aura and he's winning
I have bets on:
Sierra Leone (who i think will win)
Mystic Dan (medium shot)

I'm watching it on cable and it looks like an internet stream
It's 1987 in Kentucky
Still too recent
Nobody cares about Canada.
Why the frick is Mike Tirico here?
Bet he finds a way to suck Patrick Mahomes wiener during this broadcast.
>why is NBC's #1 pbp doing one of the major sporting events of the year
will you also be surprised when he does olympic coverage
Where is Bob Costas?
sent to the shadow realm years ago
Crying about you know who - he recently came out hard in public with severe TDS
He's the host, not the commentator.
Hes an uncle tom they are always welcomed at events like this and tennis and golf
He already sucked mahomosexual fellow demon kelce wiener which is close enough I guess.
Lester Holt is mr newsman. And they’ve had Dale Jr in the past.
NBC loves to cross their popular hosts to other things
mike tirico supplanted Wayne Brady as the whitest black man on the planet
Mike Tirico thinks he's italian and doesn't think he's half black. Honest to god google it.
He finally admitted he's black like two years ago
Clayton Bigsby
This, he is the gentlemanly uncle tom figure
Gamers rise up

I think seeing a jockey in person would be the same awwww as seeing like Yao Ming or Shaq in person. These dudes are like 5 foot and 100 pounds. An above average man of fighting age could pick up one of these guys and just throw them across the room. Amazing in a different way.
why don't they use jockeys for car racing? srs question
G forces, but many are small (outside of nascar)
NASCAR drivers are on average very small as well. There are some tall ones but they all are petite.
They're all fat because v8s and heqvy cars kek
Almost all current drivers are twinkly manlet rich kids
Racers used to be like 5’9” max. Now that all categories of racing have minimum weights for everything, being short is only an aero advantage in open wheel racing. Even that is less so now because of aeroscreens and halos.
The weight savings are negligible compared to skill.
They cant see over the steering wheel or reach the pedals/shifter. 5 foot 4 manlets minimum in racing.
Most f1 drivers are midgets (lewis hamilton for example)
>midgets
uh he's 5'9
right, midgets
Nah he lies about that he’s 5’7” maximum.
manlets always add two inches
Tyler Reddick is 5'2
Just put my life savings on Track Phantom
CANT BEAT THA STEEL, BABEY
How would you improve the derby?
I would add obstacles for the horses to jump
live rabbit to chase
No colored laws
every quarter-mile a tiger is released, I'd do this in MMA as well
Have a jockey throwing contest after the race ends.
Give the riders bows. Last horse and rider to live, wins
No way this is better than the Program Trading finish

You bet.

>goes limp 0.3 seconds after
Horse has no stamina
he's a sprinter la
Damn I wish i was a horse look at the size of that load
Yeah dude, they need that prime horse semen. This horse is gonna fuuuuck
not anymore. female barn hands now hand-jerk off the male horses to collect ifs sperm, because many males get hurt during sex (usually by kicking).
its a widely known occurrence, kept quiet of course, that women often use their mouths to push the horses over the edge and begin their orgasm.
i wish i was kidding. i really do.
t. have a sister that races.
Does your sister milk the horses?
They use a sleeve that the horses wiener is put into after it mounts you absolute fricking moron.
It's true and it makes so much sense why horse girls all HATE men.
>not anymore. female barn hands now hand-jerk off the male horses to collect ifs sperm, because many males get hurt during sex (usually by kicking).
You have to have natural sex with thoroughbred horses famalamalam it's in the rules
ive seen that IRL. had an ex who rode, walked past a stable where they were using a lubed up sleeve and jerking the horse. apparently it wasnt for semen collection, but to calm a young virile male horse down. the girls doing it looked WAY to amused btw…..
WTF????
Is that true bros
you're moronic i'm in racing and tb's aren't bred with AI
bros please tell me this isnt true.
please. i dont wanna lose respect in this sport
well now i know i dodged a bullet on my horse girl ex girlfriend
Mackenzie Foy
Thoroughbreds are bred by live cover only. Foals conceived via AI cannot be registered as thoroughbreds and are therefore barred from thoroughbred racing.
OTOH, Standardbreds, used in harness racing, are allowed to use AI. So are quarter horses.
>harness racing
wtf this looks kino? where are the threads?
It's even more dead than regular horse racing only 80 year old degens follow it and it only stays in business to skirt gambling laws and bring in casinos with slot machines.
Fhite barely even has threads for flat racing except when there's a major race (and always American ones at that. I've never seen a thread for the original English triple crown races or the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
AFAIK, there are never threads for the Grand National, either, even though I would think Fhite would love the chaos and carnage of steeplechase racing.
An horse is a athlete, there should be more threads!
Especially now that some anon owns part of a race horse
Wait really? What horse?
he only owns the horse's dick
In person it's kind of cool, it's harder for horses to make big comebacks
Nice larp
Usually a derby winner will go to stud but he has to produce winners
Now in America i think they can do it without pussy being evolded i'm not sure
In UK the rule is that they have to frick the pussy to breed them.
Today an horse proved unequivocally it is a athlete.
Gonna need Elon musk neural link to interview the horse
pedo cam
I bet 11 to show!
Those kids look trans wtf
oldest daughter is cute
Get back to work, Mr. Hamill
Nah, just frumpy
>guys I'm thinking about trannies and children again

They did not. You are braindead from being poisoned from the internet.
an horse confirmed athlete
Owner: Gasaway, Lance, 4 G Racing, Llc, Hamby Iii, Daniel And Valley View Farm Llc
Just won $200. I'm basically rich now.
Why was that person shoving a phone in those girls faces?
Once again Japanese horses are too /weakmind/ for this race.
One just got 3rd place famalamalam
If you're ain't first. Ya LAST.
>he didn't place a show bet
>the same position as axis powers who got an atomic bomb
Why can't they move up?
Their domestic tracks are literally too short. They have to run a full lap for 4 or 5 furlongs depending on the course. Seriously.
JUST. AS. PREDICTED. SILLY. BETTORS.
https://gematrinator.com/blog/2024/05/04/mystik-dan-to-participate-in-kentucky-derby
It was because the horse was named after or by his daughter.
the other jockeys were aggressively bumping the japanese horse whites are literally Black folk another dishonorable display
Ez money
Can Sierra Leone run straight
https://twitter.com/RacingTV/status/1786895705287594152
I'm surprised the Japs didn't file for in inquiry for their honor kek
It's a lose either way, no point to do it
This was another truly terrible call by Colmus. Resilience was never in the lead once kek
fricker didn't even scream AND THEY'RE INTO THE STRETCH! He was too baffled by the race. The wide angle zoom is also shit, I couldn't even tell who was in first. Frick NBC.
>NBC refuses to mention Forever Young
>Literally running in the middle of the other 2 top-3 runners
They literally did though
le famous announcer boomer is too old, I'll say it
Why aren't we using AI announcers based on the most kino historical voices yet?
He said Resilience was in the lead coming down the home stretch even though Mystik Dan was out in front, it was a really bad call. Colmus fricks up the call every year
Like 3 minutes after the race ended. Not a mention during the race. I was trying to remember FY's number because they weren't saying his name but I could have sworn the horse in the middle had its colors. Even the graphics of the end only had title cards for MD and SL.
Frick you and your Jap horse.
That's beastiality anon.
They did talk about Forever Young, they just didn't interview anyone associated with him because ching chong ding dong
Nope on both counts,
and they got the trainer during the walk-up. Said CD was beautiful, a dream come true.
This
The only time they did speak to the owner he refused to speak a lick of english.
Uppity fricking Jap. Typical.
He spoke in heavily accented English.
Sorry that your inferior American education didn't prepare you to understand such things.
keep crying weeb
That ending was just like the ending of the Piston Cup in Cars 😀
Amazing finish
Thats what my sister said to me last night
English horses are faster than american btw
just once I’d like to pull up Fhite and not see people talking about horse wieners
>He washed feet
he washed hooves
The just reran the pro-trans, anti-White "Christian" ad from the Super Bowl
>trannies and atheists whine about the ad for promoting Christianity
>chuds whine about the ad for promoting wokeness because it apparently the Bible only teaches us to wash white feet
all you frickdolls need Jesus, and not the one of your homosexual/fascist imagination
They truly have no clue what rabbi jesus preached at this point
What's your motivation for typing those lies? The ad goes far beyond anti-Whiteness in its subversiveness. That was obvious to millions immediately when they saw its original airing.
>trump-worshipping chud doesn’t recognize an elementary bible school lesson
tale as old as time
Anyone got a screenshot of the official photo finish pic.
Anyone know the official winning time for mystik dan ? Curious how close it came to Secretariat
Rebecca Lowe mommy
Close race, i doubt Forever Young would have won even with lack of bumping but im happy with the close race, was fun
>my friend
rigged
muh honoraber horse foaled 1000 times can't handle american physicality
me on the left
Of course the israelitehorse won by a nose
>Japan
These photo finish photos are akshually a composite of infinite frame rate photos so the legs always look wrong. Same thing will happen in a track race.
I like how we are debating whether animals that carry us on our backs and can kills is very easily are athletes lol
>Belmont Stakes will be shorter because it's being held at Saratoga this year
WTF?!
>New Yorkers in charge of reading a calendar
Why didn't they just finish construction in time?
The rebuild is soulless
gross
You're right, soulless.
>soul cope
You're poor
Oh God it's worse than I could have imagined it.
Is this just them mocking us or did someone actually think this looks good?
The developer most likely had to have a designer who was a lesbian trans black indigenous living person to get the bid.
what the frick
yikes
That's why I said Secretariat's record will be broken, kek.
It would have an asterisk
For comparison, that's ⅖ sec. faster than the record for the Kentucky Derby (also held by Secretariat), and 0.36 sec. faster than the record for the Travers (the "fourth leg of the triple crown," run over the same course and distance as this year's Belmont).
>originally having been 1⅜
Oops, typo. That should be 1⅝: a furlong longer than it is now.
Ah neat, thxs for the qrd.
Winning time was 2.03
Welp. Time to recoup my loss at NHK Mile
Forever Young did well in that terrible condition.
Do you think Ippei bet on Mystik Dan?
>ippei
>winning bets
Why did you nips name your horse after an Alphaville song? Is Fujita going to name the next one "Big in Japan" ?
Apparently it's actually a song by some Japanese rapper featuring the IENAI ITAMI KANASHIMI guys.
3rd place is a good run in any circumstances, and more impressive with all the bumping. Any of the top three could've won with different positioning.
an horse
