But KoC2 MMA fights are cool because it has the Fire Pro critical mechanic so you will just put somebody to sleep with a good strike
It has the New Japan, All Japan, NOAH, Zero-One, and WJ licenses. For Pride, they just used the Fire Pro knock off name they always used, Blade. But there are a lot of Pride fighters that have CAW Templates, from Sakuraba all the way to Rampage Jackson.

Better difficulty and AI than Wrestlemania 2k which has the worst AI of any Aki game
just overall more refinement and optimization
it's why everyone uses VPW2 as the base for rom hacks
You only get one attempt at a super finisher though. If you lose the buff without doing it, you can't try it again, only normal finishers. So you have to time it right.
There’s also the random fighting spirit comeback. I never figured out how to do it, but if you German suplex someone, they flip and clothesline you after.

King of Colosseum 2 has the PRIDE license even and feels pretty similar in its MMA gameplay to VPW2

I use texture replacement mods so I didn't even notice somebody replaced BLADE with an actual PRIDE ring

I ordered it from some online Japanese shop in 2001 and used my gameshark to play it. I remember getting translation guides from gamefaqs. Good times.
