Kobe was never in consideration for a top 3 player in the NBA so it's not relevant. He simply had prime Shaq for the first half of his career, won nothing in 2006-2007, before getting Phil Jackson, Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol, which is fricking stacked

Kobe is almost always put at number two of all time behind Jordan by actual NBA players. Actual NBA players that played with Kobe and LeBron always rank Kobe above LeBron. Only Lemedia, clutch sports and all the other stat nerd dick riders, say LeBron is the goat. I rather listen to actual NBA players then Zoomers or paid media gayots.

No player that is known for losing should be sniffing the top five in anyone's list.
4-6 in the finals. Has the record for most games lost in the finals in NBA history. While playing most of his career in the weak East and with super team after superteam. Also getting swept in the finals TWICE! And almost 2 more sweeps with two 1-4 finals loses lol.
And as far as mastering the game of basketball, LeBron has never been in the top 10 of most skilled players in the league in any year that he's been considered the best player in the league. His skill set is limited compared to many other greats. I can go on and on. No player with that many faults should be sniffing the top five. And stats without context are meaningless.
Also Lebron got back to back bronze medals leading teams full of NBA superstars, and didn't win gold until Kobe came and gifted him the gold.
LeBron has no bag, no ISO game, no post up, always needs a screen to do anything. All he has done is stat pad for 20 years, I'm probably has been juicing it up with PED's.

I'm old. I grew up in NC. Was a UNC fan. Followed Jordan throughout his entire career. As a White guy I naturally loved White player so I loved Larry Bird. In 1984 I was stationed in South Korea. I had to live in a dorm with 200 morons. Anyway during the playoffs we were in the dayroom watching. It was full of blacks and me. I was rooting for Boston and Bird against Magic and LA. The blacks were anti Bird. I commented that they hated bird because he was a White guy who was better than most blacks. Lawd have mercy. They blacks lost their mind. They went and got other blacks out of their dorm rooms to come fight me. I stood my ground. None of them would fight me.

When I left Korea to go back to the US one of main black agitators yelled at me saying he respected me for standing up for what I believed and he begrudgingly said Bird was a great.

I don't know who I love more MJ or Bird. I have watched 10000 videos on YT of Bird just embarrassing people and I saw MJ carry the Bulls to 6 titles so I guess I'm torn on who I like the best.

      Anonymous

LeBron is too much of a spoiled, arrogant frick to put up with good coaching. Part of the reason guys like MJ were great is that, even when they knew they were hot shit, they let themselves be coached in the name of winning. Duncan was this way, Bird and Magic were this way, hell, Kobe was arrogant as frick but even HE let Phil coach him up. Curry is this way too.

But LeBron has run off half a dozen coaches at this point purely because he can't stand to have someone tell him what to do. He would have run off Spo in Miami if Pat Riley weren't around to run a tight ship there. He has run off numerous coaches that could probably have gotten him to more rings, because HE has to be the man, and HE has to be the one in charge, because he thinks he's the most important thing in the universe.

I think it's because he grew up without a father.

            Anonymous

If it wasn't for Kobe Shaq would have 1 or 2 rings at most. The real championship was won in the West. And during this wars with the Spurs, Kings, Blazers, etc, Kobe was The one that was bailing out the Lakers with his heroics in the fourth quarters. Shaq was usually in the bench because he fouled out or bricking free throws because of the Hack-A-Shaq strat. Once I got to the finals of course Shaq dominated the weaker East teams that had no centers to contain Shaq. Without Kobe, Shaq doesn't get to the finals at all.
Shaq played with prime Penny hardaway, LeBron, a stacked Celtics team, Nash and stoudemire and Wade. And he was only able to win it without Kobe when he deferred to Wade and also had a highly stacked Miami team with several All Stars.
Kobe won, 2 back to back championships with no other top 75 player. In the toughest conference ever in NBA history and eliminated the most 50 win teams of any player in NBA history in those runs.
They both don't win the three-pete without each other. Only unknowledgeable and casual fans think that it was all shaq.

Even Shaq says Kobe is the number two player of all time. Fricken zoomer ass NBA fans lol.
