i love that people are trying to WHO? this part of the company when the whole gameplan is to convert early 20s college athletes into wrestlers and cut them in two years or less if they don't fit
They're like MLB draft picks, but WWE doesn't have Low-A/High-A/AA/AAA teams, there's just NXT (AAA). The MLB draft is 20 rounds per year plus free agents plus international players plus players other teams cut -- MLB rosters are only 40 players max, you can do the math there.
You bring athletes in, see how things work out, if it's not working, we'll see you around. Maybe they bounce around the indies + find another wrestling school, and in a few years, they cycle back in. Maybe they choose a different line of work.
The name generator stuff and "literally WHO?" is funny for about 28 seconds, but IMO some people 1) don't know how/why NXT signings work, or 2) think other people can't articulate how NXT signings work and they see an opportunity to troll/grief. If you're #1, God bless ya, if you're #2, it's just clown behavior. Every major wrestling company is better when they have a feeder league to grab talent from - even better if they have their own wrestling school to find the occasional hidden gem.

I seriously cant tell if this is shopped and you made those names up or if the NXT name generator had some extra work to do lately
the majority of those are shoot names lol
Sometimes I like to go into NXT threads and make up a stupid name and see if anyone notices. Most of the time no
Chair Thompson status???
What about Thunder Keck
So does NXT actively try to keep the girls with AEW connections like Davenport and Gigi?
No, those girls are just less likely to get cut because they should've already learned how to wrestle somewhat on the indies
