AEW had already started doing weekend house shows, and TNT airs movies/repeats on Saturdays. It was a win-win situation for both sides that they were able to replace reruns with original content.
Still doesn't mean they can go from $3.00/subscriber to $3.50/subscriber by having AEW programming. If they lose NBA, they will lose 40-50% of their carriage fee no matter how much AEW programming they retain.

You are so wrong on this. NBA gave TNT credibility of a top tier cable channel, losing NBA hurt the network as a whole and will probably just accept putting on programs that are cheap and low budget. Investing in a weekly live wrestling show with nothing else around it, is not really worth it.
