I wanted a good sports based wrestling company, I wanted new japan with hot angles and gimmicks and promos. I got a reddit sketch show. Frick it.
It was fine up until Vince left. Once Vince left WWE got better while AEW stayed in a single lane. They gave up on actual storylines and focused more on blood and in ring which is fine but its not going to be sustainable. After 5 years it's no longer its own brand its just WWE Diet

It was a shitty show but it still wasn't doing badly business-wise like AEW and that's objective fact
the fact the absolutely shitty 2018 WWE was able to turn a profit, whereas AEW with "the feeling being back" and the "greatest athletes in the history of all sports, home of the greatest moments in the history of mankind, bigger than the moon landing or the discovery of fire, home of the most important people in humankind currently alive" still couldnt draw a dime (300k for a PPV is absolutely abysmal, especially when the main event had a guy that at least earns 300k a month) and is funded by the ever diminishing pockets of Toni Bakan, it goes to show that AEW currently is in an AWFUL place
