The company gets truck loads of money regardless of whether they have a challenger lined up or not, there's no incentive to think ahead unlike the AE for example where if they didn't put on a good show their ratings would bomb and they would die.

Putting the belt on him the previous mania and having a Lesnar feud straight after would have been dimes.
