a bin full of dvds at a garage sale for 10 bucks
i was just trying to buy wrestlemania 30 so the white lady wouldn't think i'm stealing if i left empty handed
>DVD of a 2023 film
That must look like shit. I've been picking up a few PPV DVDs, since I've only ever had a handful. Wrestlemania XIX and 21, most recently. I'd like X-Seven and X8, but they're too expensive.
Everything looks good on this tbh. People scoff at the screen size but our phones are 3” by 2” and they morons stare at these all day. Also rate my setup

You look at them at 8'' distance, is not the same.

Best wrestling DVDs I got are >Ladder Match Part 1 >Breaking The Code Behind The Walls Of Chris Jericho >Smackdown and Raw’s 10th anniversary >RVD’s 2-disc DVD
Just ordered ECW’s Most Violent Matches off Ebay for $10 as well. Like watching this shit on my PS2 via CRT
I only have bootlegs.
I have all the dvdvr territory sets.
I collect all Japan from the 80s to the mid 90s.
I have all the ajw classic specials on blu ray.
I have all the big Japan and dragon gate shows from the years I liked them on blu ray.
I have most of the big Noah shows from their founding until go vs saito. Just seems like the logical end point for that promotion.
All the big fmw shows from it’s founding to hayabusa pinning Onita. Again seems like the logical conclusion but I do have some random shows from their sports entertainment era.
Thinking about collecting 70s and 80s new Japan. And non ajw 80s and 90s joshi.
I have over 1000 wrestling dvds and they’ve been sitting in boxes for the last 4 years since I moved. I have a lot of rare RoH dvds sealed, and almost all of the early 2000s WWE ones that are worth 30-100. But I’ll probably never watch any of them and so they’re largely useless now that I have no interest in collecting.
And I don’t have a photo of it and can’t be bothered to go digging for it but of all of the dvds I have, my favorite is probably a bootleg set that came in a lot I have that has discs for almost all of the 2005 PPVs, and the cover is Wrestlemania 21 with a bunch of wwe main eventers but randomly had David Young front and center.
Yeah idk why I can’t part with them. Idk if it’s the money, time invested in acquiring, or some degree of hoarder mentality where I think I’ll want them down the line. I started selling some of the big ticket items after I moved for extra cash as I got settled in, but now looking back I wish I hadn’t. I really wish I still had my sealed Steen v Generico Final Battle in the closet.
They had some blu rays but they just didn’t do very well. For a few years there they would put out Wrestlemania and most of the collections on blu ray.
I recently got given a blu ray player. But I’ve never been a picture gay. If I can come across some I need for the right price I will pick them up. But I’m not paying anything above pennies I’m a frugalChad
Blu Ray plays dvd. And there are multiple companies the still regularly make physical media, if it comes to it criterion will probably get into the blu ray player business
Streaming is so much better. I love how all the cool licenced music is replaced with generic beats, sucking the atmosphere out of moments completely. And I need the gratuitous censorship for my own good. I don't need to see events presented as they were, I need them adapted for modern sensibilities and standards.
That’s fine. Won’t kill you. I usually run them through a tape wonder first, but it’s not the end of the world if you just put them in your VCR and wind them.
Bizump
>Iron Claw DVD
I didn't realize they were still making DVDs.
Yeah can still get them in media specific stores and online
I just bought one from Sears.
Poorgays are a thing, anon.
>What’s your latest wrestling media pick up?
I bought Smackdown Know Your Role for 10 dollars at a garage sale
did you dicker?
umm sweaty, your copy of The Chaperone?
They will become the Wizards after society collapses
Doesn't really count but I bought the last three Pride FC DVDs I needed to complete my collection

You won't believe how shitty they look on streaming sometimes, they have a terrible bitrate.

I have this one.
Same. Need to update my mania collection don’t think I have much after 30
That Starcade set was so fricking good. Probably the least bias history of wcw they put out.
Yeah the bastardisation of WCW history is what confirmed for me the need for a physical media collection
that Goldberg looks terrifying
YOURE NEXT
lmao they look like something copy pasted N64 graphics onto a doll, wtf is that
Had the Goldberg and the DDP as a kid. Better days.
Life’s still pretty good rn bro, just not TV

Roh and ecw dvds fetch good money, get them sold if you’re not interested. Got any tapes?

sell them
anyways why wwe only in DVD format not bluray?

What will you do when they stop making DVD players and yours breaks down?
If home brew communities exist for the Virtual Boy, there will be people making/repairing DVD players.
Buy another second hand? They are always in charity shops or car boots for next to nothing.
Blu Ray players and modern consoles still play DVDs, right?

>zoomers think that everything that has a disc drive these days can't play DVDs
holy shit

Gave a bunch of indie dvds to a Salvation Army, like 100s. No idea if they even sold them.
To me bro, and I resold them for 1000s
nah I did
>rhey live
Rey du?
bought some wwf tapes in march and they had mould on them
That’s fine. Won’t kill you. I usually run them through a tape wonder first, but it’s not the end of the world if you just put them in your VCR and wind them.

Becareful, some dirty tapes got my head all screwed up. Too scared to run my vcr now. I just bought it a month ago...
