It costs $2,000 to sit front row at a random Smackdown in middle America now. I can only imagine what they charge in Europe in a market they've never run.
Of course it's the highest grossing. Check back in two years and they'll have another highest grossing. And someone (probably not Triple H since he's about to go down with Vince and John and Nick and the rest,) will be tweeting about how two women made history yet again for having a match where they both wore red and white stripes or something.
As a TV wrestling fan who thinks anyone paying to attend shows outside of maybe the Tokyo Dome/MSG is a mark, this shit is gratuitously amusing to me. Upper-middle class American/Aussie/European wrestling fans will pay stupid amounts of money for a few hours of entertainment. If Cornette and Bischoff were as much of buttholes as Brian Last and Conrad want them to be, people would be paying $2,000 to go to their stupid fan meetups and paying $500 for action figures, and that shit isn't even an actual wrestling show.
Compare like a heavy metal or punk show in a 500-1000 seat/standing only venue for $15 bucks + parking, and you have to be crazy loose with your money to go to any of this shit.
>and paying $500 for action figures
lmao Cornette actually did that. Near the bigging of the covid era he was selling a set of action figures, signed by Jim and I think the Midnight Express, for $500.
I remember when H would come out on RAW and take 30 minutes of air time to promote the shitty WWE network and make the crowd repeat "Only $9.99 a month..." like the droney mouth breathers that they are.
tickets for WWE events in Europe are way too fricking expensive, no wonder it's their highest grossing, wouldn't be surprised if the Smackdown in Scotland will be their new highest grossing
Tony never sets any records
Of course he wouldn't, AEW doesn't make money.
>cagematch
>I thought it was a great show
I'm surprised more than 600 people don't vote on stuff given how much Tony promotes it.
well we can close the thread now
OP ain't recovering from this
This guy got sacked btw. Tony wins again.
source: just trust me bro
Think about the implication that it's a rarity for Dynamite to have two highly rated episodes in a row on the site for AEW fans.
>muh cagematch rating
I mean first poster is right. That's not as embarassing, it's way worse.
>Cagematch
AEW is not a real promotion i swear
TIME TO SLIDE THE THREAD
TIME TO SLIDE THE THREAD
>Tony Khan would never xeet something this embarrassing and desperate lol
true he would tweet something far more embarrassing and desperate

Shit made me laugh when I saw it.
I'm sorry you'll never get to experience wrestling as it's meant to be experienced.

what do I win?
Based dunking on Tiny, but also very cringe because that guy also looks like a forever touchless virgin.
W H I T E
H O T
W R E S T L I N G
wow
Yeah we know, Tony would never tweet this because AEW has never made a profit LMFAO
Tony would have one of his wrestlers come out and lead the crowd in congratulating him.
I mean
Tony's never been able to make a profit
tickets for WWE events in Europe are way too fricking expensive, no wonder it's their highest grossing, wouldn't be surprised if the Smackdown in Scotland will be their new highest grossing
They're charging double lol and those marks are chanting for every little thing. I bet only the uber rich are able to go, not the average joe
Getting good seats in the US is pricey enough, and the show ends up being mediocre to awful
