Flair, Austin, Michaels, Roman... Most of the GOATs were around 6ft and not much taller. Taking everything into consideration, 6ft is the dimes height. Being taller certainly helps in getting over as a crutch, but it eventually becomes a liability. You are less agile in the ring, you get hurt more easily, you cannot play the underdog babyface. Height is important but charisma will always trump everything else.
>Sure if the guy doesn't do lucha acrobatics
If you're like 5'6" then you need to learn how to flip. I know anti-smarks hate flippy midgets but the only thing worse than a midget who flips is a midget who wrestles "technical" and tries to do powerbombs like a big guy.
Bulking up and being a god on the mic otherwise no
Eh. Depends.
Gargano is buff but he’s got no charisma to carry himself.
Guys like Buddy Murphy and Cage are ripped but they don’t get anything else besides buff angry dudes.
To be honest if you’re in aew and you’re using steroids, Tony will punish you and make you job to skinny twinks or scrawny dudes like Adam Cole.
why does pic related look so much bigger then Gresham, mysterios like shoot 5'4'' which is the same but he looks so much better idk is it a subconscious thing or maybe the tights?
Jerry Blackwell was like 5’2” and 300 pounds and he was a huge star in the awa.
Looks are important but there’s more than one way to look.
I think a short guy who’s jacked could get over. They would just need to play the underdog against anyone who isn’t young bucks skinny fat. Frankly we have enough flippers, an underdog babyface that fights back with unrelenting strength and power would get over very easily in today’s environment.
Yes, physical charisma is more important than height. This also explains the point other anons already brought up, i.e. Gargano still looking like a geek even though he's in great shape.
Afraid not. If your height starts with 5, might as well have a nice day. At least if you're 4 foot you can be a yummy wummy flippy gay, but you'll never make it with the 6ft and higher dime drawers.
Yeah macho man and cena are 5’11” and were top guys because of how jacked they were

>Michaels, Roman
Both anti-draws who couldn't work a lick. Flair and Austin are correct though
Michaels drew in his 2nd run, Roman never drew a dime doe
Yes. That and lifts, but tons of guys are under 6 ft now. They've always been around though and getting over in varying capacities.
depends how short for example """""big""""" mike elgin will never be over
Yes. As long as a wrestler doesn't look like a blob or a stick figure they can look believable
Yes, Adam Cole for example would be a top draw if he got a clue and jacked up.
Yeah but you have to be jacked and heavy, gargano/ciampa got shredded but still lacked a lot of believability
Bulking up and being a god on the mic otherwise no

for example.
Rey is the exception to all dimeless lucha rules, was sick when he was uber juiced
Eh. Depends.

only if you bulk enough to reach cube status, like Jeff Cobb
worked for Tazz in ECW
would a skinny Scott Steiner have been successful?
Scott Steiner is the best example to answer ops question
No.
why does pic related look so much bigger then Gresham, mysterios like shoot 5'4'' which is the same but he looks so much better idk is it a subconscious thing or maybe the tights?
Mysterio is 5'1
the lack of neck in Gresham makes him look like some kind of strange toad-turtle creature
Kek. It's so true. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if it came out that Gresham is shoot 4 foot 9.
If you're a borderline manlet, sure, bulk can save you. But if you're a full on manlet? Hell no.
no it actually makes them look shorter.

i love jericho man he is something
He was never on steroids and had a pretty lean build IIRC
True
if chris benoit was alive i would have said his name as well he was such an alpha male
and built like vegeta
>Pac
>Benoit
>Eddie
>the steiners
All mogged by the GOAT

you tell me!
Scott Steiner is barely 5'10 and nobody would've took him seriously at all without his huge exaggerated steroid physique.
true answer is it depends on genetics some guys look good some dont

Yeah I think if Adam Cole had the physique of Scott Steiner even at his height, he would be a draw
