They want matches to have that "big fight feel" but most of the ones that actually matter end with some low blow, interference, foreign object or some other stupid shit. It's a complete insult and a slap in the face.
It's one thing to spend 3 minutes watching a WWE match that ends in DQ. It's another to watch a 19 minute AEW Match that ends with a referee distraction, chair shot, 1-2-3
TLDR - Having 1 foot in "real sports feel"/UFC and one foot in WWE/90s WCW frickery
Dustin vs Cody
Omega vs Pac
STING!!!!
Darby and Sting vs Team Tazz
Young Bucks vs Lucha Bros
Omega vs Christian
Omega vs Danielson
And thats pretty much it.
Same thing that went wrong with WWE. You can't expect a untalented, autistic, manchild to be able to produce quality television just because he's rich.
Tony thinks he can book shit like mma where guys just fight guys because they’re near each other in rankings. He also has a terrible sense of humour so he tries to insert shitty goofy nonsense into the show
>He also has a terrible sense of humour so he tries to insert shitty goofy nonsense into the show
To be fair nothing funny comes when you have Jericho, Kenny, the Bucks, Jim Ross, QT Marshall, Christopher Daniels, Colt Cabana, Dustin Rhodes and William Regal in your ear backstage
>completely tonedeaf, doesn't know if it wants to be 1997 WCW, PWG with a budget or an American NJPW with UFC presentation >women's division is awful (then again, what women's division isn't bad) >panders to Meltzer and IWC rhetoric, sacrificing characters and good stories for the sake of high energy spotfests >TK is a bad booker who is treating the promotion like an IRL TEW save, hiring all his favorite ROH/NJPW/NXT guys and having them do their old routines at the expense of promising talent like MJF, Adam Cole is the prime example >interim champs are a bad idea and just make things more confusing >pushing a crumbling, past his prime CM Punk as the top babyface, rather then as a 'special attraction' to protect him, and now he KWAB'd himself in a bunch of botchfests and fricked up all the 'long term booking' plans, holding the world title hostage because TK just has to have long reigns >the fans are really defensive, railing on anyone who dares to criticize the promotion
There's still plenty to enjoy about AEW, but there's a ton of problems in the company. Big TNA vibes tbh.
1. Basing the promotion around mostly unknown indy guys and people who only drew in Japan. That limits your fan base considerably.
2. Mark booking that makes no sense. Just because WWE has shitty booking doesn't means it's OK for AEW to have it too. He should have stuck to the "sports-based promotion" concept and made AEW different than WWE. AEW is just the same entertainment-based show that WWE has every week.
3. Hiring only wrestling people for every job. Tony needs to look outsides the wrestling world and bring in employees trained for each specific job.
4. Signing too much talent and refusing to release others. He only has 3 hours of TV time plus YT. He only needs 70 wrestlers tops. AEW has almost as many as WWE now but WWE has far more hours of programing.
Three things:
Omega got injured, and has been out longer than expected.
Tony has a hard-on for Adam Cole, despite being constant ratings poison.
Tag division and women’s division are both stacked with talent, but only the same few faces are getting TV time.
The Cole thing makes no sense to me. He's an okayish wrestler but he wasn't ever a top guy at the WWE. There are 5-10 guys AEW has that could easily do a better job in his stead.
You can point to as many long term booking and business decisions as you want but the problem is that there's no talent worth watching on the program and every time they get a hold of something they immediately cool it off. I think Jon Moxley is the only figure on the show right now who's treated like a big deal.
WWE has the same problem right now except with fewer workers to fall back on. It's really bleak. I don't expect a new Stone Cold to materialize out of thin air but at least build on something.
no good storytelling, terrible booking, too many wrestlers and not enough time to do anything with them, too many stables filled with nobodies doing multi tag matches, every match ending in a brawl or a beat down because they can't tell stories, unfriendly to new viewers and non-homosexuals with a life offline, overestimating how much people wanna see wrestling for the sake of wrestling, thinking anybody wants to see Black folk like John Silver, gay fanbase. This forbidden door shit the ultimate concentrated dose of everything terrible about AEW coming to crescendo.
Inability to handle criticism and improve the product. No company or business is perfect and the ones that survive learn from their mistakes, something TK's paper thin skin makes him incapable of doing.
The whole company was built on Kenny omega's back and Tony pays trannies more money that he did kenny. Seriously, there are no meaningful plots or fields because there are like 30 factions and some factions share wrestlers. There is no rhyme or reason and you can watch plots grow and anticlimacticly dissolve within an episode and be forgotten as new anticlimactic fueds develop and dissolve likewise. It all goes nowhere and there are too many damn skinny fat manlets. Its like wrestling for people that hate applying effort and have attention deficit disorder. They see these dimeless jabronis and say, "this guys just like me and this is wrasslin... You don't have to be some dumb meathead to do flippy shit, fight forever!". Also, the dumb spotfests that destroy the suspension of disbelief. It is made of pure cringe and reminds the viewer of it constantly with the same dumb fuedless cringe spotfest rematches. Its virtue signalling garbage mud shows mixed with pure cringola.
I hope Kenny takes the wwe contract and buries this stupid shit. It sucks.
The booker is terrible. And it's made worse by the fact that people keep telling him he's great, meaning he'll get no better.
Based and 100% true
Jimmy Havoc was wrongfully fired. Tony gets what he deserves.
trannies
homosexuals
self marks
CAWdy, Cucks and Kenny having the book
asiatic shit
womeme
That's one hell of a recipe for some No Milly Pie.
Your idea of booking is just
>Hulk Hogan
>Hulk Hogan
>Hulk Hogan
>Hulk Hogan
>Roman Reigns
>Hulk Hogan
If you added CM Punk you would have totally nailed it Brother
It’s a product that isn’t terrible but not exactly good either. They don’t tell any interesting stories.
They want matches to have that "big fight feel" but most of the ones that actually matter end with some low blow, interference, foreign object or some other stupid shit. It's a complete insult and a slap in the face.

It's like WWE but cheap.
It all started with that dumb Cawdy vs Ogogo feud
What went right?
Dustin vs Cody
Omega vs Pac
STING!!!!
Darby and Sting vs Team Tazz
Young Bucks vs Lucha Bros
Omega vs Christian
Omega vs Danielson
And thats pretty much it.
They have mediocre writers.
Wrestling is not popular anymore and Normies dont know about other wrestling companies outside of WWE

Reddit IWC people legit think their bubble is a popular widespread opinion
They platformed trannies and baby murders.
>#2 for the night
Nothing. See you next week
>Usually sell 10 houses per month
>Only sell 4 this month
>Tied for lead in office
I had s-such a g-great month, right bros?
>completely unrelated industries
shut the frick up, moron
stanly cup finals dude.
Wrestling fans are not watching hockey lmao

Believing that asiatic shit was actually a draw.
Did a TNA speed run.
>Did a TNA speed run.
did TNA do a million viewers?
or is that just a failure only reserved for All Petite?
TNA did 2 million at one point during the two months that Russo had the book.
And then Russo immediately shat the bed, lost them all, and got fired.
Meltzer is the blueprint of shit you shouldn't listen to to have a casual pandering product. They have him on the payroll.

It's so funny he would view Cole as an asset or potential draw when AEW routinely BTFO Cole-led NXT weekly.

Yeah, why is Wardlow wrestling security guards? Why is MJF completely off TV?
I can't believe AEW did worse than it did last week. Anyway you slice it, AEW is an absolute failure.
It's time aewtists start APOLOGIZING, before I have to start kicking some n-word ass!
Two things
>Rampage
>Signing every ex WWE shitter that walked through the door.

Bringing in the proven losers from NXT to look better than your homegrown guys.
Frick Adam Cole.

You really wrote all that.
The show was #2 on cable with only a 0.28. Cable TV was down. Every other narrative is headcanon and that's a hard fact.
