Why do you say that? Our climate is very temperate compared to places like Finland, Russia, Canada, Sweden and the northern states of the US. Very little ice or snow.
You should still be able to afford building enough ice rinks. It’s not like the average game is on a frozen pond. And even if it doesn’t outright freeze, the climate seems gray enough that you’d want to get away from it indoors anyway.

That’s why those without side handles are the best, since those that do are all held practically the same way. Shoving a Lombardi through the air by the neck or circling the ice with the Stanley Cup over your head just hits differently. The Commissioner's Trophy looks best from the top of a bus while the O'Brien, though the weakest, looks pretty cozy cradled with arms wrapped around in the locker room.
